Benjamin Lennart Cantelon (born August 5, 1983) is a Canadian Christian musician, who primarily plays a contemporary Christian style of worship music. He has released three extended plays, Daylight Breaks Through in 2007, with Survivor Records, Introducing Ben Cantelon in 2009, with Kingsway Music, and The Ascent, Vol 1 in 2016, and two studio albums, both with Kingsway Music, Running After You in 2009, and Everything in Colour in 2012.

Early life

Benjamin Lennart Cantelon was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, [1] [2] on August 5, 1983, [3] He was raised in Langley, British Columbia, where he comes from a lineage of pastors, while his father Brent is a pastor with the PAOC. [4]

Music career

Cantelon's music career commenced in 2005, [5] with his first release, Daylight Breaks Through, an extended play, that was released on July 31, 2007, [6] by Survivor Records. [5] The second extended play, Introducing Ben Cantelon, was released by Kingsway Music, on October 20, 2009. [7] His subsequent release, a studio album, Running After You, was released on August 30, 2009, with Kingsway Music. [8] [9] [10] He released, another studio album, Everything in Colour, was released on May 8, 2012, from Kingsway Music. [11] [12] [13] [14] [15] His song, "Saviour of the World", was nominated at the Covenant Awards in 2013, for Modern Worship Song. [1]

Personal life

He is married to Alice Cantelon ( née , Buckley), and they reside in Nashville, Tennessee, United States, [16] with their child. [17]

Rend Collective is a Northern Irish Christian folk rock worship band originating from Bangor, Northern Ireland. The current lineup consists of Gareth Gilkeson, Chris Llewellyn, Ali Gilkeson, Patrick Thompson and Steve Mitchell. Their first studio album Organic Family Hymnal was released on 28 September 2010. Take It Back! was an American rock band from Fayetteville, Arkansas. The band started making music in 2005, and disbanded in 2009. Their membership was vocalist, Nick Thomas, guitarists, Daniel Hawkins and Cody Bradley, and drummer, Josh Huskey. Be Lifted High is the second live album by California-based worship collective Bethel Music. The album was released on February 15, 2011 by Kingsway Music alongside the group's imprint label, Bethel Music. Jeremy Edwardson worked on the production of the album. The album was recorded live at Bethel Church in Redding, California and includes a DVD containing interviews about worship with Bethel Church pastors Bill Johnson and Kris Vallotton as well as Bethel Music artists such as Brian and Jenn Johnson, Jeremy Riddle and others.
