Benjamin Fry (born 26 September 1998) is a Welsh rugby union player who plays for the Dallas Jackals as a flanker, having previously played for Dragons.

Professional career

Having come through Bargoed RFC, Fry made his debut for the Dragons in January 2018 versus Timișoara Saracens in the European Rugby Challenge Cup. Fry scored a debut try in the 59–3 win. [1] [2]

Fry signed his first senior contract with the Dragons in July 2020. [3] Fry signed an extension on 11 May 2022, along with fellow flanker Lennon Greggains. [4] Fry was released by the Dragons at the end of the season. [5]

After being released, Fry turned down a contract offer from Jersey Reds, and instead joined Merthyr RFC. [6] [7]

Fry joined Major League Rugby team Dallas Jackals ahead of the 2024 Major League Rugby season. [8]

In May 2018, Fry was selected for Wales U20 for the 2018 World Rugby Under 20 Championship in France, [9] having previously played for Wales Under 16 and Wales Under 18. Fry made two appearances during the tournament. [10]

Personal life

His younger brother Harry joined him at the Dragons in 2020, before departing for Hartpury University R.F.C. [3] [11]

Adam Mathias Jones is a Welsh former professional rugby union player who played as a lock. He captained the Wales Under-19 team and earned his first caps for the Wales senior team as a replacement against England and Scotland in the 2006 Six Nations Championship. He began his career with Swansea RFC before a spell in England with Saracens and Harlequins, before returning to Wales with Cardiff RFC. At the start of the Welsh regional era, he signed for the Llanelli Scarlets and played for them for four seasons, before a seven-year spell with the Newport Gwent Dragons. He also made appearances for Llandovery RFC, Carmarthen Quins RFC, Cross Keys RFC and Newport RFC.

Jonathan Evans is a Welsh rugby union footballer, who play at scrum half for Ebbw Vale RFC. He also played for the Scarlets, Newport Gwent Dragons and Bath.

Jordan Rhys Williams is a Welsh rugby union footballer who plays for the Dragons. His regular position is at full-back, but he has also played at fly-half and on the wing. He began his career with amateur side New Dock Stars RFC, before being signed by Llanelli RFC and ultimately breaking into the Scarlets regional side. However, he struggled to find playing time with the Scarlets and moved to Bristol in 2016, only to return to Wales with the Dragons two years later. He has also played internationally for Wales at under-16, under-18 and under-20 level, as well as for the Wales Sevens team.

Rhodri Williams is a Wales international rugby union player. A scrum-half, he plays his club rugby for the Dragons, having previously played for Scarlets.

James Benjamin is a Welsh rugby union player who plays for the Dragons regional team as a hooker. He is a Wales U20 and Wales 7s international.

Alex Jeffries is a Welsh former professional rugby union player who played as a prop. He retired from rugby due to a neck injury in April 2023.

Huw Charles Taylor is an English rugby union player who plays as a lock or a flanker for RGC 1404. Taylor has previously played for Worcester Warriors and Dragons RFC, and has represented England U20.

Dane Blacker is a Welsh rugby union player who plays for Dragons regional team as a scrum-half. He is a former Wales Under-20 international. Blacker has previously played for Cardiff Rugby and the Scarlets.
