The Beniamino Gigli Prize is a Finnish music award, given to artists who carry out research and musical studies about Beniamino Gigli. The Finnish Beniamino Gigli Club , affiliated with the Finnish National Opera and Ballet, established the award in 1993 and the winner is chosen by the company's board of directors. [1]

The award was designed by the Marche company Roberta Arti Grafiche and depicts Beniamino Gigli and some glimpses of Recanati.

Paul Peter Christer Lindroos was a Finnish opera singer who appeared in leading tenor roles throughout Europe but was particularly associated with the Finnish National Opera and the Royal Danish Opera. Although he specialised in the 19th-century Italian spinto repertoire, he also sang in many 20th-century works and created the role of The King in Erik Bergman's Det sjungande trädet in 1995. In his later years he was a professor of voice at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and the Malmö Academy of Music in Sweden. He died along with his young son in a car accident near Malmö at the age of 59. He is buried in Pohja, Finland, the town of his birth.

The Jussi Award for Best Actress was an award presented annually at the Jussi Awards, the premier film industry event in Finland, between 1944 and 2022. In the spring of 2022, Filmiaura's board introduced the gender-neutral Jussi Award for Best Leading Performance, which started from the 76th Jussi Awards in 2023. The 1st Jussi Awards ceremony was held in 1944, with Ansa Ikonen winning the first Jussi Award for Best Actress for her performance in Vaivaisukon morsian, and Seidi Haarla was the last winner in Compartment No. 6 at the 75th Jussi Awards in 2022.
