Benjamin Landa is an American businessman and the current nominee to be U.S. Ambassador to Hungary.
Landa's family lived in New Jersey and Brooklyn, New York during his youth; his parents immigrated to the United States. [1] [2] Landa earned his bachelor's degree in 1979 from Adelphi University. [3]
Landa is the co-founder of SentosaCare LLC, a management company focused on elder living facilities and the long-term care industry; he founded the group in 2003 and became the Chief Executive Officer. [4] [5] Landa was previously a landowner of Cold Spring Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Woodbury, New York. In 2024, Landa was ordered to pay $500,000 after being part of a management group found guilty of misappropriating funds from Medicare and Medicaid. [6]
In September 2025, Landa met with President Donald Trump to reportedly express his interest in serving as an ambassador. [7] In October 2025, Trump nominated Landa to serve as U.S. Ambassador to Hungary. [8] [9]
