Svetlana Vasilyevna Khorkina is a retired Russian artistic gymnast. She competed at the 1996 Summer Olympics, the 2000 Summer Olympics, and the 2004 Summer Olympics. During her career, Khorkina won seven Olympic medals and twenty World Championship medals. Over time, she medaled in every event at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. She was also the first gymnast to win three all-around titles at the World Championships and only the second female artistic gymnast ever, after Nadia Comăneci, to win three European All-Around titles. Svetlana Khorkina is often regarded as one of the most successful female gymnasts of all time.

Albert Azaryan is a former Soviet Armenian artistic gymnast who competed internationally representing the Soviet Union. He is the 1956 and 1960 Olympic Champion on the still rings. Azaryan is the first gymnast to become an Olympic Champion in Rings twice, a feat that Akinori Nakayama would accomplish twelve years later and that no one else has matched since. He is the first person to do one of the rings most famous variations of the Iron Cross called the Azaryan Cross, which incorporates a quarter turn to the side.
Hrant Shahinyan, also known as Grant Shaginyan, was a Soviet Armenian gymnast. Specializing in the still rings and pommel horse, he is a two-time Olympic Champion, two-time World Champion and seven-time USSR Champion.
Epke Jan Zonderland is a Dutch gymnast and 2012 Olympics gold medalist on the high bar. He has also won three World Championships titles on the high bar, at the 2013, 2014, and 2018 World Championships, the first man to achieve the feat on the apparatus. He is nicknamed "The Flying Dutchman.”
Kōhei Uchimura is a Japanese gymnast. He is a seven-time Olympic medalist, winning three golds and four silvers, and a twenty-one-time World medalist. Uchimura was already considered by many in artistic gymnastics to be the greatest gymnast of all time after his success at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, but he subsequently solidified this position in the sport further by following up his performance in London with additional and uninterrupted wins at every major competition throughout the next Olympic cycle leading up to his individual all-around gold-medal victory at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. He is known for being the first male gymnast to win every major all-around title in an entire single Olympic cycle, accomplishing this feat twice by winning six world and two Olympic individual all-around titles. Uchimura is also the individual all-around silver medalist at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He is known for delivering difficult and accurately executed routines. The International Gymnast Magazine had praised his skills as a "combination of tremendous difficulty, supreme consistency and extraordinary elegance of performance."
Aliya Farkhatovna Mustafina is a artistic gymnast from Russia. She is the 2010 world champion in the all-around, the 2012 and 2016 Olympic uneven bars champion, and a seven-time Olympic medalist.
Larisa Andreea Iordache is a Romanian artistic gymnast. As of 2019, she is the current leader of the Romanian women's artistic gymnastics team.
Kristian James Thomas is a British former artistic gymnast. A long-standing member of both the England and Great Britain men's teams, he was a member of the British team that won gold in the 2012 European Championships team event, and a historic bronze in the same event at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He won his first global individual medal in the 2013 World Championships, a bronze in vault; it was also the first global medal ever won in vault by a British male gymnast. In 2015 he won his first major international title, gold in the floor exercise at the 2015 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
Samuel Anthony "Sam" Mikulak is an American artistic gymnast. He is a six-time U.S. national all-around champion, the 2018 World bronze medalist on high bar, and a two-time Olympian. He is also an eight-time NCAA champion, winning the team, individual all-around and several individual event titles at the 2011, 2013 and 2014 NCAA Men's Gymnastics Championships.

The 2019 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships was held in Stuttgart, Germany from 4 October to 13 October 2019. The championships took place at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle, and was the third time the city of Stuttgart hosted the event following the 1989 and 2007 editions, and the fifth time Germany hosted it.
