Benny Moss (born April 18, 1970) is an American former basketball player and coach. [1]

Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Moss received his bachelor's and master's degrees at UNC Charlotte where he played for coach Jeff Mullins. He began his coaching career in 1993 as an assistant at Pfeiffer University near Charlotte. He also served as an assistant coach at Phillips University and Henderson State University before returning to Charlotte in 2000 where he served as an assistant coach at Charlotte under Bobby Lutz for six seasons before taking the helm at UNCW. On January 28, 2010, Moss was reassigned at UNCW.

Jason Maurice Capel is an American college basketball coach, currently an assistant at Pittsburgh. He was previously the 15th head coach of the Appalachian State Mountaineers men's basketball team. He is a former basketball player for the North Carolina Tar Heels, and is the brother of Jeff Capel, former Duke University basketball player and current University of Pittsburgh head coach. Capel provided color commentary for ACC basketball games on Raycom Sports during the 2007–2008 college basketball season. As of January 2018, he was a commentator for Bein Sports. He is a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity. He is married to his college sweetheart Ashley Heath, also a graduate of UNC.

Robert Bower "Buzz" Peterson Jr. is an American basketball executive who is the assistant general manager for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He has also coached college basketball, most recently as the head coach of the UNC Wilmington Seahawks men's basketball team. He was fired by UNC Wilmington at the conclusion of the 2014 season. Peterson was the head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers basketball team for four years before being fired in 2005. He previously coached a second stint at Appalachian State—he coached the 2009–10 Mountaineers, as well as the 1996 to 2000 squads. Previously, he was the men's basketball head coach at the University of Tulsa and at Coastal Carolina University, a position he held until mid-2007, when he left the program to be executive with the Charlotte Bobcats of the NBA.

Mickie Faye DeMoss is a former American college basketball coach and player. She was the women's head coach at the University of Florida and the University of Kentucky. She was also an assistant coach at Louisiana Tech University, University of Tennessee, University of Texas, Auburn University, Memphis State University, and the WNBA's Indiana Fever. DeMoss was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018 as a Contributor - Assistant Coach. She retired after 45 years of coaching basketball in some capacity in July 2022, while chief of staff for Georgia Tech women's basketball.

Benny Dees was an American college basketball coach. He was head coach of the University of New Orleans Privateers team from 1985 to 1987, the University of Wyoming team from 1987 to 1993 and Western Carolina University from 1993 to 1995. Additionally, Dees served as assistant coach at Georgia Tech, Alabama, and Western Kentucky.
