Benny Murphy is a former Gaelic footballer who played for the Fermanagh county team for more than 20 years and in 2005 was picked at right corner-back on the Fermanagh Team of the Century. [1] He played his club football with Kinawley. His son Ollie won two All Ireland medals with Meath in 1996 and 1999.

Ollie Genoa Matson II was an American Olympic medal winning sprinter and professional football player. He played as a running back in the National Football League (NFL) from 1952 to 1966. Drafted into the NFL by the Chicago Cardinals, Matson was traded to the Los Angeles Rams for nine players following the 1958 season.

It consisted of 33 teams and began on Sunday 2 May 2004. The championship concluded on Sunday 26 September 2004, when Mayo were defeated by Kerry by 1–20 to 2–9.
The GPA Gaelic Team of the Year known for sponsorship reason as The Opel Gaelic Team of the Year awards were an awards ceremony to honour the performances of Gaelic Athletic Association players. The awards were judged and awarded by the Gaelic Players Association. In 2011 the GAA and GPA announced that their respective annual player awards schemes were to merge under the sponsorship of Opel. The first merged awards were given out in 2011.
Ollie Murphy is a Gaelic footballer who plays for the Carnaross club and the Meath county team. He came to national prominence in 1999 when he was one of Meath's best players as they won the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship that year, scoring the decisive goal in that year's All-Ireland final. This was his second All Ireland senior medal as he was a substitute when Meath won the 1996 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. He also won three Leinster Senior Football Championship medals. Murphy won two GAA All Stars Awards. Murphy's best season was the 2001 championship where he put in a number of superb display's as Meath reached another All Ireland final. In that final he had to leave the field of play with a hand injury. In recent years his form has been not up to what it once was and he has failed to warrant a starting position. Ollie made his senior inter-county debut playing for London against Galway in the 1994 Connacht Senior Football Championship. It was his one and only appearance for the Exiles. Murphy's Benny father was also an inter-county player - he lined out for his native Fermanagh.
