Bernard Pershey (born in Joliet, Illinois) is an American drummer and record producer.
Pershey began playing drums at the age of eight. In his early years he was part of many psychedelic rock and hard rock bands such as Trilogy, White Lightning, This Oneness, Brainiac and Madame X.
During the 1970s and 1980s he was a session drummer for acts including Olivia Newton-John, Henry Gaffney, Chuck Berry, Michael Thompson, Jennifer Batten, Glenn Meganck, Dwight Twilley, Pat Vidas Flight and many others.
In 1988, he joined Edgar Winter for two years. His drumming on the song Frankenstein" is featured in the Tina Turner biopic What's Love Got to Do with It . In 1992, he joined blues Walter Trout's band for worldwide tours and nine albums, until he left in 2001 and joined Eric Burdon and replaced Aynsley Dunbar. From 2001 to 2005 he was a touring member of Burdon, incl. Dean Restum, Dave Meros (of Spock's Beard) and his old friend Martin Gerschwitz (who was also in Trout's band).
From 2002 to 2005, he was also a member of Beth Hart, which he left to play exclusive for Burdon, before Burdon parted ways with his band members soon after to form a new band. Pershey played on Hart's Leave The Light On album.
Between 2008 and 2010, Pershey performed with the blues musician Eric Sardinas and his band Eric Sardinas and Big Motor. The Eric Sardinas band is a three piece power blues outfit, with Sardinas on guitar, Levell Price on bass, and Pershey on drums. This line up had toured in support of the band's latest CD Eric Sardinas and Big Motor. Between 2010 and 2013, Pershey worked live with the jazz guitarist Bob Summers, and with Martin Gerschwitz and Friends, Keston and The Rhythm Killers, and others.
In 2016, he recorded with the singer Billy Trudel. Also in 2016 he recorded drums for the album The Streets Cry Freedom by Eddie St. James, which has been re-released on the Rivet/Sony-Orchard label. In 2017, he recorded drums for The Surf Dawgs, with Zip Caplan, on the record Beyond The Horizon, on Big Wave Records. He also played drums on a recording for Seth Phillips, produced by Tim Andersen. In 2020 and 2021, he did live performances with Iron Butterfly, and Uncle Zeek, although the schedule was curtailed by the Covid pandemic.
Pershey has produced music for the Chicago Producers Circle, and partnered Dean Restum at Mustang Brothers Productions, as well as recording drum tracks and client demos at the Bad Jack Studios in Arcadia, California, which he now owns. The Animals are an English rock band, formed in Newcastle upon Tyne in the early 1960s. The Animals are known for their deep-voiced frontman Eric Burdon and for their gritty, bluesy sound, exemplified by their signature song and transatlantic number-one hit single "The House of the Rising Sun" as well as by hits such as "We Gotta Get Out of This Place", "It's My Life", "Don't Bring Me Down", "I'm Crying", "See See Rider" and "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood". They balanced tough, rock-edged pop singles against rhythm-and-blues-oriented album material and were part of the British Invasion of the US.
John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers are an English blues rock band led by multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter John Mayall. The band has been influential as an incubator for British rock and blues musicians. Many of the best known bands to come out of Britain in the 1960s and 1970s had members that came through the Bluesbreakers at one time, forming the foundation of British blues music that is still played heavily on classic rock radio. Among those with a tenure in the Bluesbreakers are Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce, Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood, and John McVie, Mick Taylor, Aynsley Dunbar, Jon Hiseman, Dick Heckstall-Smith and Tony Reeves, and numerous others.

John Symon Asher Bruce was a Scottish musician. He gained popularity as the primary lead vocalist and bassist of rock band Cream. After the group disbanded in 1968, he pursued a solo career and also played with several bands.
Steve Ferrone is an English drummer. He is known as a member of the rock band Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers from 1994 to 2017, replacing original drummer Stan Lynch, and as part of the "classic lineup" of the Average White Band in the 1970s. Ferrone has recorded and performed with Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Duran Duran, Stevie Nicks, Laura Pausini, Christine McVie, Rick James, Slash, Chaka Khan, Bee Gees, Scritti Politti, Aerosmith, Al Jarreau, Mick Jagger, Johnny Cash, Todd Rundgren and Pat Metheny. He is regarded as one of the British Invasion's most distinctive singers with his deep, powerful blues-rock voice. Burdon is also known for his intense stage performances.

He sometimes sets his guitar alight on stage and during shows. In 2000 in Sydney, Sardinas suffered third degree burns to his left wrist.
White Lightning was an American psychedelic rock band, active from 1968 through 1971. The band was founded by guitarist Zippy Caplan and bassist Woody Woodrich. The band was very popular in Minnesota, mostly due to Caplan's fame playing with The Litter. The manager of radio station KDWB mistook the single "Of Paupers and Poets" for a song by Cream, giving valuable early airtime to the band. They also would perform a cover of the William Tell Overture.
Michael Joseph Moody is an English guitarist, and a former member of the rock bands Juicy Lucy and Whitesnake. He was also a founder-member of Snafu. Together with his former Whitesnake colleague Bernie Marsden he founded the Moody Marsden Band, and later, The Snakes, having previously collaborated with unofficial 5th Status Quo member Bob Young in Young & Moody. Along with Marsden and ex-Whitesnake bassist, Neil Murray, he formed The Company of Snakes and M3 Classic Whitesnake with which they mainly performed early Whitesnake songs.
