Berta Vicente Salas is a Spanish photographer. She was born in Barcelona, Spain, on 22 March 1994.[ where? ][ citation needed ]
By 2013, at the age of 19, she was the finalist in the Sony World Photography Awards for her photograph Ariadna in Urquinaona from her series Urquinaona. It was shot in an abandoned building in Spain, which she described:
'This is a building that was going to be demolished to have a hotel built. Luckily, I found it before the demolition, and its caretaker allowed me to explore the amazing place. It was probably some of the most magical places I’ve ever been. It's located in the Barcelona city center, and is now a hotel.'[ citation needed ]
Vicente Salas began a project in Australia along with the photographer Ibai Acevedo named Antipodes. She started to study visual research in the Open University of Catalonia .
In 2016 her series of work about the women penitentiary was released. Vicente Salas traveled to Mexico to teach photography in the prison of Ciudad Juárez as a social program and began her series Centro Penitenciario de Menores, Ciudad De Juárez México.
In an interview for IT Fashion online magazine, Vicente Salas explained the process of her work:
I have the feeling of always being rehearsing. I practice and then I start creating. I want to experiment and then be sure of what I am doing. What I do, I do it guiding myself through my interests of the moment, and I am drawn to people. I love them. They are fascinating. I love how you can create a time of making a picture and understand what the person you are photographing is giving to you.’ [1]

Andreas Bernhard Lyonel Feininger was an American photographer and a writer on photographic technique. He was noted for his dynamic black-and-white scenes of Manhattan and for studies of the structures of natural objects.
José Manuel Fors is a contemporary Cuban artist born in Havana in 1956. His work is principally based on installations and supported by photography. His first artistic forays, during the early eighties, were part of what has been coined "The Renaissance of Cuban Art". His artwork has been shown in renowned museums and galleries in the United States, Europe and Cuba.
Max de Esteban is an artist working mostly in photography and video whose work is best known for his examination of the human condition under a technological regime.
Rob Hornstra is a Dutch photographer and self-publisher of documentary work, particularly of areas of the former Soviet Union.
Penelope Umbrico is an American artist best known for her work that appropriates images found using search engines and picture sharing websites.
Xavier Miserachs i Ribalta was a Spanish photographer. He studied medicine at the University of Barcelona, but left school to be a photographer. He exhibited his work in Barcelona from 1956. His work is reminiscent of neorealism and is representative of the years of Spanish economic recovery, 1950–1960. His photographs show him as a creator of a new image of the city and its people. In 1998 he received the Creu de Sant Jordi of the Catalan government.
Jessica Lange's first venture into the world of photography came with winning a scholarship to study fine arts at the University of Minnesota in 1967. During her first semester however, she left school in favor of traveling to Paris with then soon-to-be husband Francisco Grande. She would not pick up photographing again until the early 1990s when she began to make black-and-white pictures, all of places she visited on her travels since then.
In Mexico is the second photo book by American visual artist Jessica Lange, published by RM in United States, Mexico, Spain and United Kingdom, respectively, in 2010. As such, her monograph that followed a pattern of its predecessor 50 Photographs (2008), was issued on the Spanish-speaking market under an alternate title, En México.
André Cypriano is a documentary and fine art photographer, known for his photography of traditional lifestyles and practices of lesser known societies in remote corners of the world.
Annemarie Heinrich was a German-born naturalized Argentine photographer, who specialized in portraits and nude photographs. Heinrich is considered one of Argentina's most important photographers.
Vanessa Winship HonFRPS is a British photographer who works on long term projects of portrait, landscape, reportage and documentary photography. These personal projects have predominantly been in Eastern Europe but also the USA. Winship's books include Schwarzes Meer (2007), Sweet Nothings (2008) and She Dances on Jackson (2013).
Muu Blanco, is a multidisciplinary Venezuelan artist. He works in the plastic arts, performance, drawing, photography, electronic music, conceptual video, and handbag design. His compositions have been presented locally as well as internationally, including in cities like: New York City, Berlin, Miami, Barcelona, Bogota, Buenos Aires, London, Vancouver and Milan. His work has been regarded as a criticism to power, wealth and narcissism, as well as commentary on the urban landscape of modern Caracas.
Laia Abril is a Catalan artist whose work relates to bio-politics, grief and women rights. Her books include The Epilogue (2014), which documents the indirect victims of eating disorders; and a long-term project A History of Misogyny which includes On Abortion (2018), about the repercussions of abortion controls in many cultures; and On Rape (2022) about gender-based stereotypes and myths, as well as the failing structures of law and order, that perpetuate rape culture.
Scott MacLeay is a Canadian photographer, composer and new media artist. His images, like his music, often deal with juxtapositions of fragmented elements in multilayered environments. He began his career in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in the later 1970s, moving to Paris in 1979. In 2010 he moved to Florianópolis, Brazil.
Jeanne Mandello was a German modern artist and experimental photographer.
Irene Cruz is a photographer, director of photography and video artist. She is fully dedicated to photography in various fields: video art, cinema, as well as teaching. Her works have been presented in festivals, fairs and also, individual/group exhibitions around the world, as at the Paris' Tokyo Palais, Círculo de Bellas Artes or the Palacio de Cibeles, The KunstHalle or the Deutsche Oper (Berlín), Project Art Space, Museo de la Universidad de Alicante (MUA) or Da2. She currently lives in Berlin, Germany, where she takes advantage of the closeness to nature and the light of the north to incorporate them into her work.

Hildegard Baum Rosenthal was a Swiss-born Brazilian photographer, the first woman photojournalist in Brazil. She was part of the generation of European photographers who emigrated during World War II and, acting in the local press, contributed to the photographic aesthetic renovation of Brazilian newspapers.
Alicia D’Amico was an Argentinian photographer. She was born in Buenos Aires, where her family had a photographic business. She ran a very productive studio with Sara Facio for twenty years. She published photography books and for the last twenty years of her life she focused on feminist issues and personal projects about the role of women in photography. She dedicated her entire life to photography, and she became a leading figure in Argentinian photography.
Carlota Guerrero is a Spanish artist, photographer, filmmaker, and art director. She is known for exploring themes of femininity and body autonomy.
