Bessen Hollow

Bessen Hollow or Bessen Branch is a stream in Crawford County in the U.S. state of Missouri. [1] It is a tributary to Hinch Branch which it joins just west of Hinch.

Bessen Hollow has the name of a railroad worker. [2]

Crawford County is a county located in the east-central portion of the U.S. state of Missouri. At the 2020 Census, the population was 23,056. Its county seat is Steelville. The county was organized in 1829 and is named after U.S. Senator William H. Crawford of Georgia.

Access is via a county road from Missouri Route 8, approximately five miles east of Elayer. The location is within the Mark Twain National Forest and a campground is located on the Courtois River to the west of the site.
