The South Indian International Movie Awards for Best Director' is an annual award for best director awarded in four categories for Tamil cinema, Telugu cinema, Kannada cinema, and Malayalam cinema films. [1] [2] [3] [4]
The award started in June 2012 by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Brenda Prasad Adusimilli. [5] The twelfth edition of the award show will be held in Dubai on 14 and 15 September 2024. [6]

South Indian International Movie Awards, also known as the SIIMA Awards, rewards the artistic and technical achievements of the South Indian film industry. It was launched in 2012 by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Brinda Prasad Adusimilli to appreciate and honour film makers from across the South Indian film industries: Telugu cinema, Tamil cinema, Kannada cinema, and Malayalam cinema, and provide a platform to promote South Indian films in international markets.
The SIIMA Award for Best Film – Malayalam is an award, begun in 2012, presented annually at the South Indian International Movie Awards to a film and production house via viewers and the winner is announced at the ceremony. The nominations for the category are given by the jury members.

The 9th South Indian International Movie Awards is an awards event held at Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Hyderabad on 18–19 September 2021. The ceremony recognised and honoured the best films and performances from Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films and music released in 2019 and 2020, along with special honors for lifetime contributions and a few special awards.
