Beverly Afaglo Baah (born 28 May 1983) is a Ghanaian actress and TV presenter. [1] [2]
Beverly hails from the Volta Region in Ghana. She is married to Eugene Kwadwo Boadu Baah with a little entanglement and they have two daughters. [3] In a 2023 interview, Beverly Afaglo discussed how her marriage provided stability and helped guide her away from potential life pitfalls, noting its positive influence on her life choices. [4]
Beverly trained as a Beauty Therapist at the FC Institute of Beauty Therapy, Ghana and is a former student of Ghana Institute of Journalism where she studied journalism and public relations. [5] Aside from acting, she operates Glamour Beauty Salon in Tema. [6] She recently launched her new chain in of business called Traffic Shawarma on 5 April 2024. [7] She shared how she is unhappy about producers and directors not using old actors in their movie projects. [8] She highlighted how casting decisions have shifted from skin-tone bias to favoring those with strong personal networks. She noted that being an actor or actress is no longer about talent but rather one needs to have the connections to be in movies. According to her, this trend diminishes quality in film production. Aside acting, Beverly, who is a family woman has been able to combine her acting career to being a serial entrepreneur. She founded B.A.B Handyman Ghana Ltd, a service platform offering plumbing, electrical, and home repairs. She also ran a merchandise venture selling celebrity red-carpet outfits and later transformed her focus into this handyman startup with a growing, on-call team of thirty- six(36) employees and expanding reach. In August 2021, Beverly’s home was ravaged by a four-hour fire where she lost nearly everything. She expressed relief that her family was safe, and received heartfelt support from fellow entertainers. She stated that," My passports, clothes, shoes, bags, wigs, jewellery, perfumes, my furniture, my kitchen, everything is gone. My kids' room and all their clothes everything is gone. I’m left with what I wore out, that’s all". [14] [15]
