Isabella "Beya" Alcaraz (born November 6,1996) [1] is an American politician who represents District 4 on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. [2] [3] [4] She is the first Filipina-American to serve on the Board. [2] [5]
Alcaraz is a lifelong resident of the Sunset District in San Francisco. [2] [6] She graduated from St. Ignatius College Preparatory in 2014,and attended Diablo Valley College and City College of San Francisco. [3]
Alcaraz owned and operated The Animal Connection,a pet store in the Sunset,from 2019 to 2025. [3] [6] She has taught art and music,performed music,and coached youth sports. [3] [6] [7]
Alcaraz was appointed and sworn in as District 4 Supervisor by Mayor Daniel Lurie on November 6,2025,following the recall of Joel Engardio in September. [1] [2] She will face an election in June 2026 to keep her seat until January 2027,the end of Engardio's term. [5]
Alcaraz is a first-generation Asian American with Filipina and Chinese heritage. [4] She is a certified yoga instructor,and has a black belt in karate. [7]
