A cartoonist is a visual artist who specializes in both drawing and writing cartoons or comics. Cartoonists differ from comics writers or comics illustrators/artists in that they produce both the literary and graphic components of the work as part of their practice.
Achewood is a webcomic created by Chris Onstad in 2001. It portrays the lives of a group of anthropomorphic stuffed toys, robots, and pets. Many of the characters live together in the home of their owner, Chris, at the fictional address of 62 Achewood Court. The events of the strip mostly take place in and around the house, as well as around the town of Achewood, a fictional suburb.
Swamp is a comic strip created by Australian Gary Clark. It was first published in 1981 in the Sunshine Coast Daily. According to Clark, the inspiration and model for this strip was the creeks and lagoons in a bushy suburban Brisbane where he grew up in the 1960s. He describes the strip as a "down-to-earth look at a bewildered society thriving in an ever-increasing complex world".
Winker Watson is a British comic strip, created by Eric Roberts, which ran in the British comic book magazine The Dandy for almost half a century. It debuted in 1961 and only terminated its run in 2007. It was revived in 2012.

Kangaroo Creek Gang is an Australian children's television cartoon series that first screened on the Nine Network in 2002. It was produced by Southern Star Group and based on a set of reading books created from 1981 that follow the adventures of a group of Australian bush animals. Prior to the television series, the original Kangaroo Creek Gang Cassette Tapes for the read-along books were recorded in the early 1980s in Perth, Western Australia and were voiced by Gregory Ker amongst others. Ker voiced the characters of Kevin Kangaroo, Wal Wombat, Tiddles Tiger Snake, Ranger West and also voiced the narrator for some of the read-along books. Helen Matthews, a well-known jazz singer, was also present for the cassette tape recordings and recorded the songs that were on the tapes.

At 23 he became Australia's most widely syndicated cartoonist, appearing daily in over 120 newspapers in 34 countries. His art spans the disciplines of comic strip, gag cartoon, editorial cartoon, book illustration, caricature and commercial art. His work has appeared in The New Yorker, Variety, Airmail, WIRED, The Weekly Humorist, and Mad magazine. At 26 he was elected president of the Australian Cartoonists' Association, and later served as the 36th President of the National Cartoonists Society. He is the youngest person to hold both positions since the organizations began.
