Bhavin Thakkar

Bhavin Jitendra Thakkar (born 22 January 1982, in Mumbai, Maharashtra) is an Indian cricketer.

Thakkar last played a first-class game in 2010 for Himachal Pradesh. He has played 37 first-class games in all scoring 1924 runs at 35.62, with five tons and 10 fifties. Before Himachal, Thakkar had played for Mumbai. He signs for Jharkhand in the 2013/14 season. [1]

The Himachal Pradesh cricket team is a domestic cricket team based in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It has competed in the Ranji Trophy since the 1985–86 season. They have won their first ever domestic trophy, by winning the 2021–22 edition of Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Amritlal Vithaldas Thakkar, popularly known as Thakkar Bapa was an Indian social worker who worked for upliftment of tribal people in what is now Gujarat state in India. He became a member of the Servants of India Society in 1914 founded by Gopal Krishna Gokhale in 1905. In 1922, he founded the Bhil Seva Mandal. Later, he became the general secretary of the Harijan Sevak Sangh founded by Mahatma Gandhi in 1932. The Bharatiya Adimjati Sevak Sangh was founded on 24 October 1948 on his initiative. When Indian constitution was in process, Kenvi visited the most remote and difficult parts of India and conducted investigations into the situation of tribal and Harijan people. He was appointed the chairman of "Excluded and Partially Excluded Areas, a sub committee of the constituent assembly. Mahatma Gandhi would call him 'bapa'. In one of his appeals in 1939 Mahatma Gandhi called him "Father of Harijans".

The 2021–22 Ranji Trophy was the 87th season of the Ranji Trophy, the premier first-class cricket tournament in India. It was contested by 38 teams, divided into eight groups, with four teams in Group F. All the Group F league matches took place in Delhi. The tournament was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on 3 July 2021. Punjab won Group F to progress to the knockout stage of the tournament.

The 2022–23 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was the fifteenth edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, an annual Twenty20 tournament in India. Played from 11 October to 5 November 2022, it was contested by all 38 Ranji Trophy teams and won by Mumbai, who beat Himachal Pradesh by four wickets in the final to win their first title. The tournament was a part of the 2022–23 Indian domestic cricket season, which was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in August 2022. Tamil Nadu were the defending champions.
