Bigger Picture (foaled February 8, 2011 in Kentucky) is an American Thoroughbred racehorse whose wins included the Grade 1 United Nations Handicap plus three consecutive editions of the John B. Connally Turf Cup.
Bigger Picture's first race was on December 7th, 2013, at Turfway Park, where he did not finish. He completed his second race however en route to victory on January 1st, 2014. [1]
Bigger Picture spent his 2014 and 2015 seasons competing in various claiming races, picking up some wins along the way. During the 2016 season he competed in the Grade 1 United Nations Stakes, finishing eighth. He won his first graded race on November 12th, 2016 at the Red Smith Handicap. [1]
He picked up his first of two wins in his 2017 season by winning the Grade -3 John B. Connally Turf Cup, on January 29, 2017. [2] [1]
His second win of the 2017 season came on July 1st, when he competed again in the Grade-1 United Nations Stakes. He came into the race at 10-1 odds and in a major upset was victorious. [3] He finished on the podium at both the July 2017 Bowling Green Handicap and the August 2017 Sword Dancer Stakes. [1]
He started off his 2018 season with a successful defense of his John B. Connally Turf Cup crown by coming in first place. He did not win any more races in 2018, but came close with a third place finish at the 2018 United Nations Stakes. [1]
He won the John B. Connally Turf Cu] for the third time on January 27, 2019. He also added another victory to his name by winning the 2019 Elkhorn Stakes. [4] [1] This was his final win of 2019.

Kitten's Joy is a Thoroughbred racehorse who was a multiple graded stakes winner and the American Champion Turf Horse of 2004. Since retiring to stud, he has become one of the leading sires in North America.

A graded stakes race is a thoroughbred horse race in the United States that meets the criteria of the American Graded Stakes Committee of the Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA). A specific grade level is then assigned to the race, based on statistical analysis of the quality of the field in previous years, provided the race meets the minimum purse criteria for the grade in question. Lure was an American Thoroughbred racehorse who was best known for winning back to back Breeders' Cup Miles in 1992 and 1993. He began his career racing on dirt, and won the Gotham Stakes while on the Triple Crown trail. After losing his next two races though, his trainer decided to try him on the turf. After the switch, Lure won nine stakes race, three of them Grade I, and retired with earnings of over $2.5 million. He was inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame in 2013.

Student Council was best known for his wins in the grade one Pimlico Special and the grade one Pacific Classic Stakes.
Main Sequence is a Kentucky-bred Thoroughbred racehorse. In his first three seasons he raced in Europe winning his first four races including the Lingfield Derby Trial before losing his unbeaten record when finishing second in the 2012 Epsom Derby. After failing to win in 2013 he was gelded and sent to race in the United States. In 2014 he recorded Grade I victories in his first four American starts, winning the United Nations Stakes, Sword Dancer Invitational Handicap, Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Invitational Stakes and Breeders' Cup Turf. He extended his winning run in his first start of 2015 but was retired from racing after suffering a serious tendon injury in his third race of the season.
Tiller was an American thoroughbred racehorse. Racing mainly on turf he won sixteen of his forty races between February 1977 and September 1980. He was not a champion, but won many important races and defeated many of the best racehorses of his era including Exceller and John Henry.
Big Blue Kitten is an American Thoroughbred racehorse who specialises in turf races. Unraced as a juvenile, he finished third on his debut in 2011 and then went on a five race winning streak, culminating in a victory in the Grade II National Museum of Racing Hall of Fame Stakes. After winning one minor race as a four-year-old he emerged as a top-class turf performer in 2013 when his wins included the United Nations Stakes and the Sword Dancer Invitational Stakes. His only win of consequence in 2014 came in the Lure Stakes but he returned to his best as a seven-year-old in 2015 winning the Fort Marcy Handicap, a second United Nations Stakes and the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic Invitational Stakes. Apart from his victories he finished second in the Arlington Million and third in the Breeders' Cup Turf. His performances earned him the title of American Champion Male Turf Horse for 2015.
One of Sam Houston Race Park's most prestigious races is named in honor of Texas governor John B. Connally who died in 1993. Inaugurated in 1995, it is one of only two graded stakes races held at the park, but it is one of the track's longest running races. Along with the Ladies Classic, Frontier Utilities Turf Sprint and Space City Stakes, the John B. Connally Turf Cup is one of the main events of the Houston Racing Festival.

Fourstars Allstar was an American Thoroughbred racehorse and sire, best known for his win in the Irish 2000 Guineas. As a two-year-old in 1990 he showed promising form by winning the Pilgrim Stakes and the Damon Runyon Stakes as well as finishing second in the Laurel Futurity. In May of the following year he was shipped to Ireland and became the first American-trained horse to win a European Classic with his win in the Irish 2000 Guineas. Although never returned to Europe he was a consistent performer in major American Turf racing over the next four seasons, winning the Elkhorn Stakes, Saratoga Breeders' Cup Handicap, Fort Marcy Handicap, New Hampshire Sweepstakes Handicap and two editions of the Bernard Baruch Handicap.
World Approval is a retired American Thoroughbred racehorse best known for winning the 2017 Breeders' Cup Mile. A minor stakes winner at age three, he won his first Grade I race at age four in the United Nations Stakes. At age five, he won five of six starts including the Grade I Fourstardave Handicap and Woodbine Mile before his victory at the Breeders' Cup.
