Biju Ningombam (born 26 December) is an Indian actress who appears in Manipuri films. [1] [2] Some of her famous films include Nungshi Feijei , Phishakhol, Nurei, Thabaton 3 and Ei Actor Natte . [3] [4] [5]

Career

Biju Ningombam first appeared on television as a child artist in a teleplay Ningol Kada which was telecast on DDK Imphal.[ citation needed ] She acted in a Manipuri music video Phajarabi Nanggi Maithong produced by one of her cousin brother. Her debut appearance on silver screen is Meerang Mahum where she played a supporting role. She started taking main roles in films like Chou-En-Lai's Ashileibakki Hero and Ajit Ningthouja's Konggol. Her notable films where she took leading roles include Phishakhol, Mandalay Mathel, Thamoina Thamoida, Ei Actor Natte and Numit Tha.

As of 2021, Ningombam was seen in Tarun Wang's Khudi and Ojitbabu Ningthoujam's Satlo Leirang Satlo.

Eikhoishibu Kanano is a 2020 Indian Meitei language film directed by Ajit Yumnam and produced by Brojen Yumnam. It is a movie on Indo-Myanmar border dispute. The film was premiered at the Jaipur International Film Festival 2020. It was also selected for the 8th Delhi International Film Festival 2020 and the India International Film Festival 2020, Pune. Eikhoishibu Kanano won the Best Film at 10th Dada Shaheb Phalke Film Award 2020 and also Best Film - Debut and two other awards at 13th Manipur State Film Awards 2020. It also won nine awards, including Best Film and Best Director at the 9th MANIFA 2020. It got official selection at the 8th Indian Cine Film Festival, 2020.

Kshetrimayum Rashi is an Indian actress from Imphal, Manipur, who worked in theatre and Manipuri films. She was introduced into the world of theatre by her mother Rasamani Devi. She is best known for her role in the movie Imagi Ningthem, which also received wide international acclaim. Rashi has featured in over 150 radio plays. She was conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 13th Manipur State Film Awards 2020. She is also the recipient of the Sahitya Seva Samiti, Kakching Neta Irawat Leelaroi Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.

Khurai Angaobi is a 2019 Indian Meitei language film written and directed by Sudhir Kangjam. It is produced by Jugeshori Sairem under the banner of Sairem Art Creation. The film stars Soma Laishram, Gokul Athokpam, Biju Ningombam and Hamom Sadananda in the lead roles. The movie was premiered at Bhagyachandra Open Air Theatre (BOAT) on 5 October 2019.
