The Daily Times (DT) is an English-language Pakistani newspaper. Launched on April 9, 2002, Daily Times, is simultaneously published from Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi. The newspaper was owned by Governor of Punjab and Pakistan Peoples Party member Salmaan Taseer.
Rifaat Ali al-Assad is the younger brother of the late President of Syria, Hafez Assad, and Jamil al-Assad, and the uncle of the incumbent President Bashar al-Assad. The 1999 Latakia protests were violent protests and armed clashes, which erupted in Latakia, Syria following 1998 People's Assembly's Elections. The violent events were an explosion of a long-running feud between Hafez al-Assad and his younger brother Rifaat. Two people were killed in fire exchanges of Syrian police and Rifaat's supporters during police crack-down on Rifaat's port compound in Latakia. According to opposition sources, denied by the government, the protests left hundreds of dead or injured.

In Round 1, he went 5-0, defeating Saul Mendoza of Bolivia, Jerome Ko of Hong Kong, Sergio Turiace of Argentina, Nobuyuki Azuma of Japan, and future gold medalist Philippe Omnès of France. In the quarter-finals, he went 2-2, defeating Bilal Rifaat of Egypt and Yu Yifeng of China. In the semi-finals, he went 3-2, defeating Bill Gosbee of Great Britain, Nobuyuki Azuma of Japan, and Mauro Numa of Italy -- who ended up winning the gold medal. In the finals, he went 0-2, losing to Numa and to Peter Lewison of the United States.
Rifaat El-Fanagily was an Egyptian footballer who played as a midfielder for Al-Ahly. He also played for the Egyptian national team, and was part of the team that won the 1957 and 1959 Africa Cup of Nations, and represented his country in the 1960 and 1964 Summer Olympics.

Tell Rifaat is a city in northern Aleppo Governorate, northwestern Syria. Located roughly 40 kilometres (25 mi) north of Aleppo, the town is the administrative center of Nahiya Tell Rifaat. Nearby localities include Azaz to the north, Mare' to the east, Kafr Naya to the south, Deir Jmal and Oqayba to the southwest and Ibbin Samaan to the west. The 2013 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held in Antwerp, Belgium, from 30 September to 6 October 2013 at Antwerp's Sports Palace. Kōhei Uchimura won the men's all-around gold medal and finished the competition with four total medals. Simone Biles won the women's all-around title and also finished the competition with four medals.
Lauren Zoe Hernandez is an American artistic gymnast. During her debut year as a senior gymnast, she competed as a member of the U.S. women's gymnastics team dubbed the "Final Five" at the 2016 Summer Olympics; Ultimately, the U.S. won gold in the team event. In the individual events, Hernandez earned the silver medal on the balance beam.
