Set in two periods, which showcases the protagonist's childhood and old age, the film tells his attachment with Bilathikuzhal. The film won the 2018 John Abraham Award for Best Malayalam Film. [5]

Official selection in various festivals

The film had its premiere at Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2018 and was later selected in NDFC Film Bazaar's Industry Screening [6] 2018. It also had its selection in International Film Festival of Kerala(IFFK) [7] 2018. It was also included in Artist's Cinema Section in KOCHI-MUZIRIS BIENNALE 2018. [8]

Kerala State Chalachitra Academy ,Trivandrum is an autonomous non-profit institution working under the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala. It was founded in August 1998 for the promotion of cinema in Kerala, considering that cinema is the most popular art form in Kerala. The academy was first of its kind in India and was formed on the basis of the Karant committee report (1980), which proposed the formation of a national film academy.
