Darnall ward—which includes the districts of Attercliffe, Carbrook, Darnall, Tinsley, and parts of Handsworth—is one of the 28 electoral wards in City of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It is located in the eastern part of the city and covers an area of 17.4 km2. The population of this ward in 2011 was 23,489 people in 8,809 households. It is one of the wards that made up the Sheffield Attercliffe constituency, now the Sheffield South East constituency.
Sheffield Attercliffe was a parliamentary constituency in the City of Sheffield. It was created at the 1885 general election and abolished at the 2010 general election, when it was replaced by a new Sheffield South East constituency.

The shed was built adjacent to the main line immediately west of Darnall station. British Railways initially allocated the shed code 39B to Darnall, and later 41A, both within the Eastern Region code sequence.

The Wednesday Cricket Club was a cricket club founded in 1820 which became one of the pre-eminent cricket clubs in the Sheffield area. The Wednesday club was the direct forerunner of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club. The club was reformed in 2011 and has risen from Section 7 in the Mansfield District League to Section 2 in 2017. It's midweek side play in Division A of the Sheffield Alliance Midweek League in 2018 having won Division B in 2017.
Darnall's Chance, also known as Buck House, Buck-Wardrop House, or James Wardrop House, is a historic home located at 14800 Governor Oden Bowie Drive, in Upper Marlboro, Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. It is named after Colonel Henry Darnall, a wealthy Roman Catholic planter, who was the Proprietary Agent of Charles Calvert, 3rd Baron Baltimore and who served for a time as Deputy Governor of the Province. The house itself was built c. 1742 by a merchant named James Wardrop, after he bought some of the land from Eleanor Darnall Carroll and her husband Daniel Carroll, a politician and wealthy planter. Today, Darnall's Chance houses the Darnall's Chance House Museum, a historic house museum which opened to the public in 1988.

Bob Reade is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head coach at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois from 1979 to 1994, compiling a record of 146–23–1. His Augustana Vikings won four consecutive NCAA Division III Football Championships from 1983 and 1986 and were runners-up in 1982. Reade's teams went unbeaten for 60 straight games between the start of the 1983 season and the second round of the 1987 NCAA Division III playoffs, when Augustana lost to Dayton, 38–36. This remains the record for the longest unbeaten streak in NCAA Division III football history. Reade's teams won or shared 12 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championships and he was named conference Coach of the Year nine times. This award is now named in his honor. Reade was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 1998.
His Lordship's Kindness, also known as Poplar Hill, is a historic plantation estate on Woodyard Road east of Clinton, Maryland. It was built in the 1780s for Prince George's County planter Robert Darnall. The five-part Georgian mansion retains a number of subsidiary buildings including a slave's hospital and a dovecote. The property is now operated as a museum by a local nonprofit preservation group. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1970.

Colonel Henry Darnall, was a wealthy Maryland Roman Catholic planter, the Proprietary Agent of Charles Calvert, 3rd Baron Baltimore (1605–1675). He served for a time as Deputy Governor of the Province. During the Protestant Revolution of 1689, his proprietarial army was defeated by the Puritan army of Colonel John Coode, and he was stripped of his numerous colonial offices. Darnall died in 1711, leaving the bulk of his substantial estates to his son, Henry Darnall II (1682-1759).

The only remaining large complex of crucible furnaces, the works opened in the 1835 and were frequently extended and adapted until the late 20th century. Some of the structures at the works are listed buildings, at Grade II* and Grade II, and part of the site is a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
