Bill Miller (born c. 1967) was a three-time first-team All-American NCAA lacrosse player at Hobart College from 1988 to 1991.

Lacrosse career

Miller teamed with players such as Jeff Tambroni and Tom Gravante to lead Hobart College to the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship for four consecutive years, from 1988 through 1991. In the 1991 championship game, the last of an unprecedented 12 straight titles for Hobart, Miller had two goals in defeating previously unbeaten Salisbury, 12-11.

Miller is ninth in all-time NCAA Division III total points, with 173 goals and 145 assists for 318 total points in 67 games. He was awarded the Jack Turnbull Award as Division III National Player of the Year in 1990 and 1991.

Following his years at Hobart, Bill went on to play club lacrosse with Mount Washington, as well as playing on two Team USA World Championship squads in 1994 and 1998. He also won the 1994, 1995 and 1998 NLL Champions Cup Champion with the Philadelphia Wings and was named the game two MVP in the 1998 Champions Cup against the Baltimore Thunder.

Miller played his high school lacrosse at Episcopal Academy. In his senior year, 1987, he led Episcopal to a state championship, winning the Avery F. Blake Memorial Trophy as the de facto Pennsylvania state champion.

Miller coached for two years as an assistant under G.W. Mix at the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 and 1993.

Miller was inducted into the Pennsylvania Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2002. He was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2013. [1] [2]

Miller coaches for the Bronxville (NY) Youth Lacrosse Association, coaching the fifth grade boys program.

Gary Charles Gait is a Canadian retired professional lacrosse player and currently the head coach of the women's lacrosse team at Syracuse University, where he played the sport collegiately. On January 24, 2017, he was named the Interim Commissioner of the United Women's Lacrosse League.

Paul Gait is widely regarded as one of the best lacrosse players of all time and is the current Vice President of the Rochester Knighthawks of the National Lacrosse League. Gait, along with his twin brother Gary Gait, had outstanding playing careers at Syracuse University, in the National Lacrosse League, Major League Lacrosse, the Western Lacrosse Association, and at the international level for Canada.

John Christopher Grant Jr. is a professional lacrosse player who has played in Major League Lacrosse, the National Lacrosse League, and the Ontario Lacrosse Association. Grant Jr. was named men's lacrosse Offensive Coordinator at Johns Hopkins in 2020.

Michael "Mike" G. French was a three-time All-American lacrosse player at Cornell University from 1974 to 1976, teaming with fellow lacrosse Hall of Fame members Eamon McEneaney, Dan Mackesey, Bill Marino, Tom Marino, Bob Hendrickson, Chris Kane, and Richie Moran to lead the Cornell Big Red to the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship in 1976. French was co-owner, along with Russ Cline and Chris Fritz, as well as Executive Vice-President of the NLL's Philadelphia Wings.

Tom "Hollywood" Marechek is a retired professional lacrosse player.

The Drexel Dragons are the athletic teams of Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Bradley 'Brad' A. Kotz was a four-time All-American NCAA lacrosse player at Syracuse University from 1982 to 1985.

Tony Resch is a retired lacrosse player, and current field and box lacrosse coach. He is the former head coach of the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League from 1994 to 2001, and led the Wings to four Championships. Resch was named to the NLL Hall of Fame in 2008. Resch returned to coaching as the head coach of the Philadelphia Barrage of Major League Lacrosse. Resch graduated from Yale University, where he was a two-time All-American and three-time First Team All-Ivy League player.

Bill McGlone is a professional lacrosse player. McGlone plays for the Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse and the Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League.

Tim Nelson was a three-time first-team All-American NCAA lacrosse player at Syracuse University from 1983 to 1985.

Lacrosse has been played in Pennsylvania since the 19th century. There are many respected amateur programs at the club, college, and high school level, as well as several respected past and present professional teams in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) and Major League Lacrosse (MLL).

The Hobart Statesmen are composed of 11 teams representing Hobart and William Smith Colleges in intercollegiate athletics, including men's basketball, cross country, football, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, rowing, sailing, soccer, squash, and tennis. The Statesmen compete in the NCAA Division III and are members of the Liberty League for all sports except men's lacrosse, which competes in NCAA Division I, as a member of the Northeast Conference.

Avery Felton Blake Sr. was an American college lacrosse player and coach. He served as the head lacrosse coach at his alma mater, Swarthmore College from 1931 to 1959. Blake also served as president of the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association. He was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1961 and is the father of National Lacrosse Hall of Fame player Avery Blake Jr.

Drexel Dragons mens lacrosse

The Drexel Dragons men's lacrosse team represents Drexel University in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's lacrosse. Drexel currently competes as a member of the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) and plays its home games at Vidas Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Drexel made its first NCAA tournament appearance in 2014.
