Birds & Blooms is an American magazine about backyard plants, birds, butterflies, and other creatures.
Birds & Blooms was started in 1995. [2] [3] The magazine has its editorial offices in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. [2] [4] The magazine is produced once every two months. Most of the articles and photographs in the magazine are reader-submitted, giving the magazine a non-scientific approach. It contains information on how to attract birds and other wildlife to the backyard and other information of interest to outdoor enthusiasts and amateur ornithologists and lepidopterists.
The magazine targets audiences from two hobby demographics: gardening and birdwatching. In 2008, 70% of American adults were involved in gardening, [5] and 6.4% were bird-watchers. [6]
In May 2005, Birds & Blooms began publishing Birds & Blooms EXTRA with magazine issues published six months a year on alternating months to the original Birds & Bloom magazine.

Located in the United States and incorporated in 1905, Audubon is one of the oldest of such organizations in the world. There are completely independent Audubon Societies in the United States, which were founded several years earlier such as the Massachusetts Audubon Society, Indiana Audubon Society, and Connecticut Audubon Society. The societies are named for 19th century naturalist John James Audubon.
The yellow-legged gull is a large gull found in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, which has only recently achieved wide recognition as a distinct species. It was formerly treated as a subspecies of either the Caspian gull L. cachinnans, or more broadly as a subspecies of the herring gull L. argentatus. The genus name is from Latin Larus which appears to have referred to a gull or other large seabird, and the species name honours the German zoologist Karl Michahelles.

Loveland Learning Garden is a non-profit community school garden program located in the Loveland City School District in Loveland, Ohio. As "the largest and most comprehensive school gardening program in the Midwest," Loveland Learning Garden's collaborates with the Loveland City School District to offer hands-on learning experiences for students that are directly connected to state curriculum standards. Granny's Garden School has begun the Schoolyard Nature Network to aid those who wish to develop their own school garden programs. Hailed as a "tremendous community asset," Granny's Garden provides food for the school cafeteria as well as to the rest of the community. Granny's Garden School is featured prominently in Herbert W.
