Birgit Senff is a retired German artistic gymnast. In 1981 she won a silver medal in the vault at the European Championships and a team bronze at the world championships. [1] [2] She missed the 1984 Summer Olympics due to their boycott by the Soviet block and competed at the Friendship Games instead, winning a silver medal with the East German team. [2]
Nationally, she won the vault in 1981, 1983 and 1984 and the uneven bars in 1984. [1]
Katharina "Käthe" Anna Krauß was a German track and field athlete, who won three gold medals at the 1934 Women's World Games in London and a bronze medal in the 100 metres at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, where she was also on the German 4 × 100 m relay team. She won several German championships in various events and 2 silver medals and a gold medal in the 4 × 100 m relay at the 1938 European Athletics Championships in Vienna.
Lutz Hoffmann was an East German gymnast and Olympic silver medalist.
Angelika Hellmann is a retired German gymnast. She competed at the 1972 and 1976 Summer Olympics in all artistic gymnastics events and won a silver and a bronze medal in the team competitions, respectively. Her best individual results were fifth place in the floor exercise in 1972 and on the balance beam in 1976. She won two more silver medals with the East German team, and an individual all-around bronze, at the world championships in 1970 and 1974. At the European championships, she won three medals in 1971 and 1973, in the vault and uneven bars.
Birgit Radochla is a retired German gymnast. She competed at the 1964 Summer Olympics in all artistic gymnastics events and finished in fourth place with the German team. Individually she won a silver medal in the vault and finished fourth in the floor exercise and all-around. She also won three medals in individual events at the 1965 European championships.
Dagmar Kersten is a German former gymnast. She represented East Germany at the 1988 Olympic Games, winning a silver medal on the uneven bars, and a bronze medal in the team event. In 1985, she won four medals at the World Championships, including silver on the bars and bronze in the all-around. She was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit.
Irene Abel is a retired German artistic gymnast. She competed in the 1972 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal with the East German team. Her best individual result was seventh place in the vault. She won another silver team medal at the 1974 World Championships.
Roland Brückner is a retired East German gymnast. He won two more gold medals in the floor exercise at the 1979 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships and 1981 European championships. He missed the 1984 Summer Olympics due to their boycott by East Germany and competed at the Friendship Games instead, winning a gold on the floor and a silver in the team competition.
Rodica Arba is a retired Romanian rower. She competed at the 1980, 1984 and 1988 Olympics and won two gold, one silver, and one bronze medal. At the world championships she won four gold, one silver and two bronze medals between 1981 and 1987, mostly in coxless pairs.
Birgit Meineke is a retired East German swimmer. She was the fastest female swimmer in the 100 m freestyle between 1980 and 1984.
Ute Starke is a German former gymnast.
