The Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra is a community orchestra based out of Bismarck, North Dakota, and performs in the Belle Mehus Auditorium. [1]
Bismarck is the capital of the U.S. state of North Dakota and the county seat of Burleigh County. It is the state's second-most populous city, after Fargo. The population was 73,622 at the 2020 census, and was estimated to be 75,092 in 2023, while its metropolitan population was 133,626. In 2020, Forbes magazine ranked Bismarck as the seventh fastest-growing small city in the United States.
Mandan is a city on the eastern border of Morton County and the eighth-most populous city in North Dakota. Founded in 1879 on the west side of the upper Missouri River, it was designated in 1881 as the county seat of Morton County. The population was 24,206 at the 2020 census. Across the Missouri River from Bismarck, Mandan is a core city of the Bismarck–Mandan Metropolitan Statistical Area.
The Music of North Dakota has followed general American trends over much of its history, beginning with ragtime and folk music, moving into big band and jazz. With the development of mass media, local artists in North Dakota, as in the rest of the country, saw a rapid loss of opportunity to create, perform, and sell popular music to the regional audience that had previously provided a market. Hill Auditorium is the largest performance venue on the University of Michigan campus, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The auditorium was named in honor of Arthur Hill (1847–1909), who served as a regent of the university from 1901 to 1909. He bequeathed $200,000 to the university for the construction of a venue for lectures, musical performances, and other large productions. Opened in 1913, the auditorium was designed by Albert Kahn and Associates. It was renovated by the same firm beginning in 2002 and was re-opened in 2004.
KACL is an FM radio station in Bismarck, North Dakota, owned by Townsquare Media airing a classic hits format competing against Radio Bismarck-Mandan's KXRV "Mojo 107.5". The station signed on in 1997 and has never changed its format, although it shifted from 1960s and 1970s music based oldies to 1970s and 1980s based classic hits in 2009.
The Bismarck Expressway is a state highway in Mandan and Bismarck, North Dakota, in the United States. It carries two unsigned highways: Interstate 194 (I-194) from its west end at exit 156 of I-94 to I-94 Business in Mandan, and North Dakota Highway 810 (ND 810) from I-94 Bus. in Mandan, around the south side of Bismarck back to I-94 Bus. in Bismarck. I-94 Bus. takes the designation from the end of ND 810 to the designation's eastern terminus at I-94 and US Highway 83 (US 83). The portion in Mandan, even where it is ND 810, is a freeway; once it crosses the Missouri River into Bismarck, it becomes a four-lane surface road.

The Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts (JCPA) is a performing arts center located in Jacksonville, Florida. Situated along the Riverbank, the venue is known as the First Coast’s "premiere riverfront entertainment facility". Originally opening in 1962, the facility was renovated beginning in 1995 until 1997; with a grand re-opening on February 8, 1997. The center consists of three venues: a theatre; concert hall and recital hall. It is home to the Jacksonville Symphony, Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra, and the FSCJ Artist Series.

The North Dakota College Athletic Conference (NDCAC) was a collegiate athletic conference that ceased operations following the 1999–2000 academic school year when it merged with the South Dakota Intercollegiate Conference to form the Dakota Athletic Conference. The former NAIA conference originally started as the Interstate Athletic Conference in 1922, with five North Dakota schools and Moorhead State Teachers College from Minnesota. Moorhead State left in 1931 to help found the Northern State Teachers Conference in 1931, and the remaining members brought in more schools to regroup as the NDCAC.
The Pasadena Symphony and POPS is an American orchestra based in Pasadena, California. In 2010, it took up residence at the Ambassador Auditorium, where its Classics Series runs from October through April. Since 2012, it performs a summer series at the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden from June through September.
