BitterLawyer.com is a legal humor and news blog targeted at disgruntled lawyers. The site features a webshow titled Living the Dream, created by Rick Eid, which follows the bumblings of fictional big law junior associate Nick Conley (played by John T. Woods). [1] Accompanying blog posts describe the real-life inspirations behind each webisode. There are also many columns: an advice column authored by "an Ex-Bitter"; "Associate Abuse," which posts associate war stories from all over; "Bitter by Numbers," an opinion column appearing in list form; "Loose Ends," which covers legal news; "Bitter Rant," which posts lawyer rants from all over; "Pictures Framed," which posts images or illustrations of lawyers and invites readers to submit captions; and "Temper(a)mental," written from the point of view of a legal temp. Rick Eid, an executive producer of the NBC series Chicago P.D. created the site in 2008. He has also been a producer and writer for the television shows The Ex List , [3] Law & Order , Law & Order: Trial by Jury , Conviction , and The Guardian. Bitter Lawyer was ranked in the ABA Journal Blawg 100 in the "Lighter Fare" category, calling the blog "a category killer for legal humor websites." [5]

In 2010 Bitter Lawyer won a Webby for best legal website. [6]

In May 2014, Lawyerist sold Bitter Lawyer to Bitter Empire, LLC, a company owned by Lisa Needham and Joline Zepcevski. [19]

It features continuously updated US and international legal news based on primary source documents and contextualized by informed commentary provided by law professors, policymakers, lawyers and law students. An internet-based example of service learning, Jurist gives its law student staffers ongoing opportunities to broaden their awareness of current legal events and develops their research and writing skills in a 21st-century technological environment while they serve the public as apprentice journalists. The site is owned and operated by Jurist Legal News and Research Services, Inc., a 501(c)(3) educational organization based at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law led by executive director Megan McKee in conjunction with a board of directors chaired by Professor Bernard Hibbitts, who is also Jurist's publisher and editor-in-chief.

The Psycho Ex-Wife, also known by the domain name ThePsychoExWife.com, was a blog and community website that operated in the United States between 2007 and 2011. The website was created by Anthony Morelli and Misty Weaver-Ostinato in 2007. Morelli, then writing as an anonymous blogger, originally used the site as an online journal to describe the troubled relationship with his former wife as well as his negative experiences with the family court system, and criticism of the "divorce industry". The blog eventually evolved into a popular advice column and support network for people in abusive relationships, particularly partners with mental health issues, and long-term divorce and custody cases.

Joshua Michael Blackman is an American lawyer who is employed as an associate professor of law at the South Texas College of Law where he focuses on constitutional law and the intersection of law and technology. He has authored one book and co-authored two others.
