Black Lotus Records was an independent record label based in Greece that specialized in metal. [1] After acquiring licenses for several new artists, Black Lotus Records has filed for bankruptcy, resulting in an indefinite hold on all announced titles.[ citation needed ]

Kranky is an American independent record label in Chicago, Illinois. It was started in 1993 by Bruce Adams and Joel Leoschke. Their first release was Labradford's 1993 debut album Prazision. Adams left the label in 2006, after which Leoschke continued running it, with the help of Brian Foote of Kranky band Nudge.

Marz, born Zlatko Bobby Hukic, also known as Bobby Marz, is a Croatian rapper based in Chicago, Illinois, United States. He spent several years with Ministry before forming his own rap-metal band, also called Marz. After touring with Insane Clown Posse and contributing to the band Dark Lotus, he set up his own record label, Billion Dollar Ballers.

Tales from the Lotus Pod is the first album by American hip hop group Dark Lotus. Released on July 17, 2001, the album featured the only appearance of former member Marz, who was soon dismissed from the group. Absolute Steel is a Norwegian heavy metal band from Larvik. Formed in 1999, the band’s founding members were Andy Boss, Dave Bomb and K2 (vocals). Throughout the late 1990s they played live performances and developed a heavy metal party band style that caught the attention of Edgerunner Records, a local heavy metal label. Necromantia was a Greek black metal band that was founded in 1989 in Athens. Alongside Rotting Christ and Varathron, they are considered to be pioneers in establishing the Greek black metal scene in the early 1990s. The band is notable for the complete lack of rhythm guitar in their music, which is substituted by an eight-string bass guitar. Another notable feature is the band's frequent use of musical instruments not usually associated with black metal, such as the saxophone and flute.
