Blair Butler (born June 28, 1977) is an American stand-up comic, television host and screenwriter, known for her work on the "Fresh Ink" and other segments on the G4 program Attack of the Show! .
Butler's father is Robert Butler, longtime film critic for the Kansas City Star .
Butler graduated from Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois. She became the head writer of G4's flagship television program X-Play . Although she identifies herself as a writer/producer, her work as a stand-up comedian, including being featured on Comedy Central's Premium Blend , opened the way for her to work on-camera. [1]
During her years with X-Play, she participated in the show's re-occurring sketches and themes in the role of the "Drunk Writer", a female writer who wears oversized sunglasses and a T-shirt with the words "I Need Drink" and can always be seen with a bottle of liquor ("Rot Gut") and an unlit cigarette dangling from her mouth. (Butler does not smoke in real life. [2] )
She then became the head writer for G4's "Attack of the Show," a daily hour of live television. There Butler frequently wrote and directed comedy skits for AOS co-host Olivia Munn. Among these were "Wonder Woman" and "The Lesbionic Woman."
She was later given her own segment called Fresh Ink where she critiqued comic books, reviewing the newest issues of comic books with her recommendation on whether to "buy", "browse", or "burn" them. Starting in 2007, the Fresh Ink segment evolved into Blair recommending good comics and collectibles from various comic stores in the L.A. area.
Butler has an online segment on the G4 website called "Geek Out" where she examines various things from geek culture.

During the holidays, Butler was a regular host on G4's podcast "Around the Net" which showcases videos from the internet. In December 2012, Butler announced she had been let go by G4.
Blair was the writer of Microsoft's "Xbox @ E3 Live" coverage, which streamed on Xbox Live nightly from June 11, 2013, through June 13, 2013. She was also featured in a day one segment interviewing Hideo Kojima for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain . The three-day specials reunited her with former G4 personalities, such as Morgan Webb, Kevin Pereira, Blair Herter, Jessica Chobot and Tina Summerford.
In July 2013, Blair hosted Marvel's Earth's Mightiest Show, [4] an original video series spotlighting movies, comics, science, video games and news from Marvel Entertainment.
Most recently she has been the editorial producer of Talking Dead, the Chris Hardwick-hosted talk show that follows every episode of the zombie series Walking Dead on the AMC cable network.
Blair is credited as writing the episode "Viaticum" of the Hulu series Helstrom , which is based on Marvel Comics characters. [5]

The Screen Savers is an American TV show that aired on TechTV from 1998 to 2005. The show launched concurrently with the channel ZDTV on May 11, 1998. The Screen Savers originally centered on computers, new technologies, and their adaptations in the world. However, after it was taken over by G4, the show became more general-interest oriented and focused somewhat less on technology. The final episode of The Screen Savers aired on March 18, 2005. Repeat episodes continued to air until March 25, 2005 when its replacement program Attack of the Show! began 3 days later on March 28, 2005. Two spiritual successors to The Screen Savers, This Week in Tech on the TWiT Network with Leo Laporte and Tekzilla on Revision3 with Patrick Norton, were started after the original show concluded. On April 19, 2015, Leo Laporte announced The New Screen Savers, which began airing on TWiT network May 2, 2015.
Morgan Ailis Webb is a former co-host and senior segment producer of the G4 show X-Play. She was previously the host of the podcast WebbAlert and a monthly columnist for the United States edition of FHM, where she contributed a monthly video game column titled "Tips from the Gaming Goddess". She began working at independent game studio Bonfire Studios in March 2017 in a production role.

Heroes for Hope: Starring the X-Men is a 1985 Marvel comic book designed to raise awareness about hunger in Africa. Proceeds from the comic went to the American Friends Service Committee, to assist in their work on behalf of African famine relief and recovery. Published in the form of a "comic jam" or exquisite corpse, the book featured an all-star lineup of comics creators as well as a few notable authors from outside the comic book industry, such as Stephen King, George R. R. Martin, and Edward Bryant. It also saw a rare Alan Moore Marvel Comics credit outside his early Marvel UK work.
The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes is an American superhero animated television series by Marvel Animation in cooperation with Film Roman based on the Marvel Comics superhero team. The first season debuted on Disney XD and online in the fall of 2010. The second season was one of the inaugural shows of the Marvel Universe programming block alongside Ultimate Spider-Man.
Venom is the title of several American comic book series published by Marvel Comics focusing on the various heroic and villainous incarnations of the character Venom, which have usually consisted of a human host and amorphous alien being called a symbiote. The first incarnation of the character was the one created by the third and current human host to the symbiote, Eddie Brock, and—since 2011—its fifth host, Flash Thompson. Beginning with Venom: Lethal Protector, eighteen limited series following Brock's adventures were published monthly between February 1993 and January 1998. A monthly Venom series began publication in 2003, following a new character, Patricia Robertson, and a clone of the original symbiote. The series concluded in 2004 after 18 issues.
