Bloomquist Creek is a stream in San Mateo County, California and is a tributary of Pescadero Creek. [1] It enters Pescadero Creek within the boundaries of Memorial Park.

Pescadero Creek is a major stream in Santa Cruz and San Mateo counties in California. At 26.6 miles (42.8 km), it is the longest stream in San Mateo County and flows all year from springs in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Its source is at 1,880 feet (570 m) above sea level on the western edge of Castle Rock State Park, with additional headwaters in Portola Redwoods State Park, and its course traverses Pescadero Creek County Park and San Mateo County Memorial Park before entering Pescadero Marsh Natural Preserve at Pescadero State Beach and thence to the Pacific Ocean 14.4 miles (23 km) south of Half Moon Bay.

San Mateo County's Memorial Park is located in Loma Mar and is operated by the San Mateo County Department of Parks. The park encompasses 499 acres (2.02 km2), and includes old-growth redwood trees, eight miles (13 km) of hiking trails, camping areas, picnic facilities, a visitor center, a camp store, a creek swimming area, and campfire programs. La Honda-Pescadero Unified School District is a school district in California that serves the south coast of San Mateo County, including the communities of Pescadero and La Honda. It consists of three schools: a high school, a combination elementary and middle school, and an elementary school.

Rancho Pescadero was a 3,282-acre (13.28 km2) Mexican land grant in present day San Mateo County, California given in 1833 by Governor José Figueroa to Juan José Gonzales. At the time, the grant was in Santa Cruz County; an 1868 boundary adjustment gave the land to San Mateo County. The name means fishing place. The grant extended along the Pacific coast from Pomponio Creek on the north to Butano Creek and Rancho Butano on the south, and encompassed present day Pescadero.

San Mateo County's Pescadero Creek Park is located near Loma Mar and is operated by the San Mateo County Department of Parks. The park complex of 8,020 acres (32.5 km2) also includes the neighboring Memorial, Sam McDonald and Heritage Grove parks. The park borders Portola Redwoods State Park with seamless trails, and connects to Big Basin Redwoods State Park via a trail easement across private lands. The park is dominated by the Pescadero Creek, which provides winter habitat for steelhead trout, and a redwood forest with 26 miles of trails. Horseback riding is also popular here, and many use Jack Brook Horse Camp in San McDonald Park to connect. Hike-in camps are available to backpackers. Hiking trails that cross the Pescadero Creek do not have bridges, though the fire road crossings are bridged.
