The Presidents of the United States of America were an American alternative rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1993. Dig Me Out is the third studio album by the American rock band Sleater-Kinney, released on April 8, 1997, by Kill Rock Stars. The album was produced by John Goodmanson and recorded from December 1996 to January 1997 at John and Stu's Place in Seattle, Washington. Dig Me Out marked the debut of Janet Weiss, who would become the band's longest-serving drummer. The music on the record was influenced by traditional rock and roll bands, while the lyrics deal with issues of heartbreak and survival. The album cover is an homage to The Kinks' 1965 album The Kink Kontroversy.

In 2011 lead singer, John Van Deusen, was selected for Seattle Weekly’s best male vocalist award and the band appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The group went on indefinite hiatus in 2014.
Math and Physics Club are an American indie pop band based in Seattle, Washington, United States. Its members are Charles Bert and Ethan Jones. James Werle played lead guitar until he died in 2018. Kevin Emerson (drums) continues to play on recordings though no longer a full time member of the band. The band has released three EPs and four full-length albums on Santa Barbara-based Matinee Recordings, with UK distribution on Fika Recordings. They are often associated with Australian labelmates The Lucksmiths and twee pop band Tullycraft, and Pitchfork Media described their work as "music to hold hands to" after The Lucksmiths' song on the album "Why That Doesn't Surprise Me".
Tea Cozies are a band from Seattle, Washington. Inspired by the 1990s, their name was derived from the tea cosy designed to keep a pot warm. A reference to the band was quoted in Venus Zine in 2008 that their name "stems from their desire to call themselves something that would most likely appeal to knitters and British grandmothers."
The Moondoggies is an American rock band from Everett, Washington, United States. Formed in 2005 by Kevin Murphy, Caleb Quick, Carl Dahlen, and Robert Terreberry. They have been described as "seriously kick-ass" by Austin Scaggs of Rolling Stone. The band has released four albums and one EP on Hardly Art, an imprint of Sub Pop Records.
The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die is an American indie rock band formed in Willimantic, Connecticut, in 2009. They released their debut album Whenever, If Ever in 2013 to generally positive reviews, followed by Harmlessness in 2015 and Always Foreign in 2017. They have also released a number of EPs and splits, including a collaboration with spoken word artist Christopher Zizzamia, entitled Between Bodies, in late 2014. Trans FX is an American music group formed in 2011 by songwriters Chris McDonnell and Scott Young in Olympia, Washington. They have released five albums as of 2018, and continue to operate a revolving door, communal band, based in Olympia. Their sound has often been compared to Lou Reed, Happy Mondays, Brian Eno, Primal Scream, and The Jesus and Mary Chain. Consistent in their output, but not in their label, the band continues to make conceptual recordings imitating life as industry, aimed at a better understanding of immediacy in the 21st century.
The Murlocs are an Australian rock band from Melbourne. They are composed of Ambrose Kenny-Smith on vocals and harmonica, Cal Shortal on guitar, Cook Craig on bass guitar, Tim Karmouche on keyboards, and Matt Blach on drums. They were formed in 2011 by Ambrose Kenny-Smith, and they have released five studio albums since then. They are signed to Flightless Records, and many of the band members are a part of other bands signed to Flightless, including King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard and ORB. Their sound is a mix of rock and R&B, with the distorted harmonica of Kenny-Smith providing the band with a distinctive sound.
Tangerine is an American indie pop band. Originally based in Seattle, the group relocated to Los Angeles in 2017.
