Blue Comics is a Brazilian publisher of comics and related media, known for being the first (in Brazil) to have its own shared universe. [1] [2]

The company was created by Micaías Ramos in 2006. [3]

"The Masque of the Red Death" is a short story by American writer Edgar Allan Poe, first published in 1842. The story follows Prince Prospero's attempts to avoid a dangerous plague, known as the Red Death, by hiding in his abbey. He, along with many other wealthy nobles, hosts a masquerade ball in seven rooms of the abbey, each decorated with a different color. In the midst of their revelry, a mysterious figure disguised as a Red Death victim enters and makes his way through each of the rooms. Prospero dies after confronting this stranger, whose "costume" proves to contain nothing tangible inside it; the guests also die in turn.

The Guarani: Brazilian Novel is a 1857 Brazilian novel written by José de Alencar. It was first serialized in the newspaper Diário do Rio de Janeiro, but due to its enormous success Alencar decided to compile his writing in a volume. A plausible explanation for this success might be in the fact that the novel spoke of freedom and independence, arguing for a nativeness that could be found in tropical Nature and in the indigenous people of Brazil.

Combo Rangers is a series of webcomics created in 1998 by Japanese-Brazilian author Fábio Yabu. It is based on Japanese manga and the Super Sentai series. It started off as a parody, then developed more serious storylines that still included comedy. It features five main rangers as well as an extra white one. They are led by O Poderoso Combo, and fight against several forms of evil. Combo Rangers has won the HQ Mix Award three times.

O Menino Maluquinho

O Menino Maluquinho is a comic book and comic strip series created by Brazilian writer and cartoonist Ziraldo. It was based on the eponymous children's book published in 1980 which for many years was regarded as a classic of children's literature in Brazil, getting spun off into movies, plays and TV series. The comic books were published by Abril and Globo from 1989 until 2007. It was Ziraldo's second series of comic books, after "Turma do Pererê".

Renato Vinícius Canini was a Brazilian illustrator, known for his work in publications like O Pasquim and Pancada, and for Editora Abril, where he drew Disney comics, chiefly José Carioca. He gave the character a more authorial style, and a more Brazilian identity.

<i>The Don Rosa Library</i>

Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck: The Don Rosa Library is a series of books published by Fantagraphics Books, collecting all of the Scrooge McDuck and Donald Duck comic book stories written and drawn by Don Rosa, originally published between 1987 and 2006. Following up Fantagraphics' Floyd Gottfredson Library and The Complete Carl Barks Disney Library, this series was launched in 2014, and completed with the tenth and last volume in late 2018.

Cris Peter

Cris Peter is a Brazilian colorist. She works mainly in the American comics market for publishers like DC Comics and Marvel Comics. She was nominated for the Eisner Award for her colors in comic series Casanova. She also did the colors of important Brazilian comics, as Astronauta – Magnetar and Petals. In 2013, she published the theoretical book O Uso das Cores, by Marsupial Editora. She won the Troféu HQ Mix in 2016 and 2017, in the category "Best Colorist".

Bianca Pinheiro

Bianca Pinheiro is a Brazilian comics artist and illustrator. She graduated from Graphic Arts by UTFPR and did postgraduate studies in Comics by the Grupo Educacional Opet.

Maurício de Sousa Produções, or Estúdios Mauricio de Sousa, is the company responsible for the production of comics and cartoons, the creation and development of characters, product licensing, and all other projects related to the characters created by Mauricio de Sousa.
