His 48.94 was set at the high altitude United States Olympic Trials at Echo Summit, California, on September 11, 1968. He was the first man to run the event under 49 seconds. The hand time took .3 off the previous record held by Rex Cawley. A month later at the 1968 Summer Olympics, he finished 4th in a tight race between 2nd place and 4th place, and given a time of 49.06, while watching David Hemery demolish his world record running 48.12. Andrew William Pozzi is a British hurdling athlete. He was the 2018 indoor World Champion at 60 metres hurdles. He was the 2012 UK 60m and 110m Champion and holds the record for the fastest ever time run by a UK junior hurdler. The record time, 13.29 seconds, was set on 3 July 2011 in Mannheim, Germany at the Bauhaus Junior Gala.

Dave Holt is a former English distance runner, who competed in the 10000 metres at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, where he placed eleventh in his heat in 28 minutes 46.8. His personal best was 28 minutes 41.82, which he set at Crystal Palace on 15 July 1972. He originally competed for Hercules AC, and following that club’s merger with Wimbledon AC, he competed for Hercules-Wimbledon AC. His twin brother Bob Holt had a faster personal best of 28 minutes 39.8, set in September 1972, but did not compete at a major championship.
Lesley-Ann Skeete is a female English former track and field athlete who competed in the 100 metres hurdles. She represented Great Britain at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul and the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. She also won a bronze medal at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland.
Jade Louise Lally is a British track and field athlete. She won a bronze medal for England in the women's discus at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and represented Great Britain at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
