Henry Clifford "Doc" Carlson was an American basketball coach and football player. He is a Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee as the men's college basketball coach of his alma mater, the University of Pittsburgh, from 1922 to 1953. At Pitt he compiled a record of 367–247 record (.595). His 1927–28 team finished the season with a 21–0 record and was retroactively named the national champion by the Helms Athletic Foundation and the Premo-Porretta Power Poll; Carlson's Panthers would receive retroactive recognition as the Helms national champion for the 1929–30 season as well. Carlson also led Pitt to the Final Four in 1941. As a student at the university, Carlson was also a First Team All-American end on Pitt's football team under coach "Pop" Warner. Carlson also lettered in basketball and baseball.
The Eastern Illinois Panthers are the intercollegiate athletic programs of Eastern Illinois University (EIU) located in Charleston, Illinois, United States. The Panthers athletic program is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) and competes at the NCAA Division I level in the Football Championship Subdivision. EIU's colors are blue and gray. Selected as the team mascot in 1930, EIU's panther, was informally known as "Billy" for many years and was officially named "Billy the Panther" in 2008. Panther teams have won five NCAA national championships in three sports. The Panthers also won the 1969 NAIA men's soccer title.
Paul Mainieri is the head coach of the LSU Tigers baseball team. Prior to that position he was the head coach of the University of Notre Dame baseball team from 1995 to 2006, the United States Air Force Academy baseball team from 1989 to 1994 and the St. Thomas University baseball team from 1983 to 1988. Mainieri coached LSU to the 2009 College World Series championship.
The New York Tech Bears refer to the mascot and sports teams of the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), located in Old Westbury, New York, United States. All of New York Tech's teams compete in NCAA Division II. The Bears are part of the East Coast Conference (ECC). Tech is best known for its men's lacrosse team, which has won four NCAA Division II national championships. Tech also sent several runners to the Olympic Games, in 1980, 1988, 1992, and in 2000.
Charles Martin Newton was an American collegiate basketball player, coach, and athletics administrator. He served as the head men's basketball coach at Transylvania University from 1956 to 1968, the University of Alabama from 1968 to 1980, and Vanderbilt University from 1981 to 1989, compiling a career college basketball coaching record of 509–375. He was chairman of the NCAA Rules committee from 1979 to 1985 and was the president of USA Basketball from 1992 to 1996.
The St. John's Red Storm is the nickname used for the 16 varsity athletic programs of St. John's University, in the U.S. state of New York. St. John's 16 NCAA Division I teams compete in the Big East Conference, with the exception of the fencing team, which compete in the ECAC. On December 15, 2012, St. John's and the other six Catholic, non-FBS schools announced that they were departing the former Big East for a new conference. The "Catholic 7", after purchasing the "Big East" name from the FBS schools and adding Butler, Creighton, and Xavier, began operating as the new Big East Conference beginning in July 2013.
John Thurston is an American college basketball coach. He wsas the head coach of the St. Francis College women's basketball team from 2012 to 2018. Thurston was born in the Bronx, New York and is an alumnus of Archbishop Molloy High School and Seton Hall University. Through both high school and college, Thurston was a two sport player playing baseball and basketball. After graduating high school in 1966, Thurston was drafted by Los Angeles Dodgers in the 1966 MLB Amateur Draft.
The New Orleans Privateers baseball team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of the University of New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. The team is a member of the Southland Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. The team plays its home games at Maestri Field at Privateer Park in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Privateers are coached by Blake Dean.

The High Point Panthers are the 16 varsity athletic teams that represent High Point University (HPU) in North Carolina, United States. All of HPU's varsity teams compete at the NCAA Division I level. All sports except men's lacrosse compete in the Big South Conference. The men's lacrosse team joined the Southern Conference July 1, 2014. The Panthers joined Division I in 1999, after having been NCAA Division II and being members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) prior to 1992. The Pittsburgh Panthers baseball is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate baseball program of the University of Pittsburgh, often referred to as "Pitt", located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Pitt baseball team competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference and plays their home games at Charles L. Cost Field in the Petersen Sports Complex. It is the university's oldest recorded sport, dating to 1869. Prior to joining the ACC in 2013-14, Pitt had won both the Big East Conference regular season and Big East Tournament championships. The Panthers have also received four First Team All-American selections, and have appeared in three NCAA championships. 52 Panthers have been selected in the Major League Baseball Draft.
The Adelphi Panthers are the athletic teams that represent Adelphi University, located in Garden City, Long Island, New York, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports.
The Georgia State Panthers baseball team represents Georgia State University in NCAA Division I college baseball. The team currently competes in the Sun Belt Conference. It first began competing there before moving to the TAAC, and the CAA. Beginning July 1, 2013, Georgia State returned to the Sun Belt Conference for all sports. The Panthers play their home games at Georgia State's Panthersville sports complex in the GSU Baseball Complex.
The Texas–Rio Grande Valley Vaqueros baseball team, or the UTRGV Vaqueros, is the varsity intercollegiate baseball team of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, an NCAA Division I institution with several campuses in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, United States. UTRGV was formally founded in 2013 with the announced merger of the University of Texas–Pan American (UTPA), with its main campus in Edinburg, and the University of Texas at Brownsville (UTB) in Brownsville, with the merged university beginning operation in the 2015–16 school year. The Vaqueros compete in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC), play home games at UTRGV Baseball Stadium in Edinburg, and are coached by Derek Matlock.
William Arthur Kinneberg is an American college baseball coach, currently serving as head coach of the Utah Utes baseball team. He is in his second stint with the Utes, having most recently assumed the role prior to the 2005 season. Kinneberg was also head coach of the Utes for the 1996 season. Coach Kinneberg lead the Utes to the university's first ever men's Pac-12 championship in the 2016 season, finishing with a 26–29 overall record.
Greg Frady is an American college baseball coach. He was most recently the head coach of the Georgia State Panthers baseball team since the start of the 2007 season until the end of the 2019 season. He also served as general manager of the German National team. Frady was the head coach at North Florida Community College from 1990–1996. Before serving as North Florida Community College head coach, Frady played for Troy from 1984–1987. He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Columbus State University. From 1997–2003, he served as an assistant at Central Florida before being hired as an assistant coach at Georgia State in 2004. He became general manager for the German national team in 2004 and head coach at Georgia State in 2007.
Lane Burroughs in an American college baseball coach, currently serving as head coach of the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs baseball program. He was previously the head coach at Northwestern State, named to that position prior to the 2013 season.
Mark Calvi is an American college baseball coach, currently serving as head coach of the South Alabama Jaguars baseball team. He was named to that position prior to the 2012 season.

Alex Trezza is an American college baseball coach and former catcher. He is the associate head coach, pitching and catching coach at Boston College. He played college baseball at Stony Brook University. He serced as head baseball coach of the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds baseball team from 2015 to 2016.
