It is currently owned by the BET Networks subsidiary of Paramount Global's CBS Entertainment Group. Originally launched as a program block on January 25, 1980, BET would eventually become a full-fledged channel on July 1, 1983.
Punk'd is an American hidden camera–practical joke reality television series that first aired on MTV in 2003. It was created by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg, with Kutcher serving as producer and host. It bears a resemblance to both the classic hidden camera show Candid Camera and to TV's Bloopers & Practical Jokes, which also featured pranks on celebrities. Being "punk'd" referred to being the victim of such a prank. New episodes hosted by King Bach and DeStorm Power aired on BET.

106 & Park is an American hip hop and R&B music video show, set up in a countdown format, that was broadcast on weekdays at 6:00 pm ET/5:00 pm CT on BET; it aired on a one-day delay on BET International. It was the network's highest-rated show throughout its run. On November 14, 2014, BET cancelled 106 & Park, with an alleged shift to a digital-only format, with occasional specials during network event programming, though the last time it was seen in any form was the 2016 BET Experience, and the digital-only program never aired.
Mary Mary is an American urban contemporary gospel duo composed of sisters Erica Atkins-Campbell and Trecina Atkins-Campbell. Formed in 1998, Mary Mary was launched into mainstream recognition following the release of their best-selling debut album, Thankful (2000), which contained the hit single "Shackles ". Their followup album Incredible (2002), reached number one on the Top Gospel Albums chart. Their self-titled third album, Mary Mary (2005), which contains themes the public interpreted as a channel to the group's experience,. Kortney Jamaal Pollard, known professionally as Mali Music, is an American singer-songwriter and record producer from Savannah, Georgia. His first two studio albums, The Coming (2008) and The 2econd Coming (2009) were released independently through ByStorm Records and met with critical acclaim. In 2011, he was the first inspirational artist to be part of BET's "Music Matters" series. He signed with RCA Records to release his first major-label single "Beautiful" the following year, which preceded his third album and major label debut, Mali Is... (2014). The album received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album.
"I Made It" is a song recorded by American singer Fantasia, featuring American singer-songwriter Tye Tribbett. It was written and produced by Tribbett and David Outing for Fantasia's fifth studio album, The Definition Of... (2016). Tribett developed it in collaboration with Fantasia, blending her personal testimony and his experiences with God into the lyrics. Fantasia described it as a highly personal song, explaining that it was about refusing to let people control her and moving forward from her past struggles. "I Made It" is an uptempo gospel record and its lyrics revolve around an appreciation for God and faith.
Kingdom Business is an American musical drama series created by John J. Sakmar & Kerry Lenhart and executive produced by Kirk Franklin and DeVon Franklin. It stars Yolanda Adams as Denita Jordan, a gospel superstar who runs the in-house record label Kingdom Records, and Serayah as Rebecca "Rbel" Belle, a young exotic dancer who singing talent at the memorial service for her best friend goes viral. It premiered on BET+ on May 19, 2022. In February 2023, the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on November 2, 2023.
