Boba Bola (born 2 October 1985) is a former professional footballer who played as a forward. Born in Zaire, he represented the Rwanda national team at international level.

Cub career

Bola joined Landskrona BoIS 2005, coming from APR FC. [2] He was close to be loaned out to the Swedish side IF Limhamn Bunkeflo but the affair did not go off, instead he was loaned out to Bodens BK. [3] He made 26 appearances and scored 3 goals for Landskrona BoIS, before he left on 22 December 2008. He was promoted after the 2008 season to the reserve team of Landskrona BoIS and was than on trial with Motala AIF. [4] In summer 2009 and a half year for Landskrona BoIS II he signed a contract for Syrianska IF Kerburan. [5] In March 2010, after being released by Syrianska IF he signed for Panellinios IF. [6] In August 2010 he signed a contract for Finnish Atlantis FC. [7]

International career

Born in Zaire, Bola represented the Rwanda national team at full international level [8] and was a key player for Amavubi. [9]

Other achievements for his club included the promotion to Allsvenskan in 1970, winning the Swedish Cup final 1972 and two Allsvenskan bronze medals for the 1975 and 1976 seasons. He also played 3 caps for the Swedish national team, and scored one goal. There were voices that suggested that he would have represented Sweden at many more occasions if it was not for the Swedish national manager of the time, Georg "Åby" Ericson. The supporters of Landskrona BoIS gave him the nickname "Kung Sune, vår vän". In English "King Sune, our friend". Sonny Johansson played 638 games for the club and scored 310 goals.
