Bogdan Curta (born 13 September 1982 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania) is a Romanian folk singer-songwriter, poet and radio host. [1] [2]

Biography

Bogdan Curta began his musical career at the age of 13, since when he participated at numerous concerts, TV and radio shows. [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] His debut album, Angels in Heaven (Îngeri din Rai), an album of Christmas carols and winter songs, was released in 2003 in Cluj-Napoca. In 2006, his official national launch consisted of a double release: a musical album collecting his most famous personal songs, and a volume of poetry and aphorisms, both named Longing for Spring (Dor de Primăvară). [9] Since then, three more official albums have been released. [10] [11] [12]

Bogdan has performed in shows with famous Romanian artists, such as Compact, Pasărea Colibri, Cargo, Direcţia 5, Ducu Bertzi, Amadeus, Narcisa Suciu and Mircea Vintilă. [13] [14] From 2009 he has expanded his career internationally, with performances in France, Germany and Belgium. [15] He is among the top artists from Trilulilu, the main national video-sharing website, receiving from media and fans the informal distinction of "Trilulilu Star" (Vedetă Trilulilu).

In 2022, Bogdan released "DOOMSDAY FOREVER," a tribute album to the notorious Virginian art group, DOOMSDAYx3. [16]

"Love" is a song recorded by Romanian singer Inna for her debut studio album, Hot (2009). It was released as the second single from the record on 16 February 2009. Written and produced by Play & Win members Sebastian Barac, Radu Bolfea and Marcel Botezan, "Love" is an EDM and house track. Its lyrics revolve around the potential complications related with love. The song was described as containing high-pitched vocals by one reviewer, as well as compared to the work of English rock band New Order. Another critic foresaw the single to be commercially successful.

Heaven is a Romanian dance-pop girl group comprising lead singer Adina Postelnicu alongside her sister Roxana and Aliana Roșca. Formed in early 2005 in Vaslui, the band was launched into local recognition following the release of their best-selling debut single, named “Pentru totdeauna”, which was a hit on the Romanian charts. Heaven's debut album, titled O Parte Din Rai, was released in Romania in spring 2006 and has been compiled under the auspices of Cat Music.

Christmas in Romania is a major annual celebration, celebrated on 24/25 of December, as in most countries of the Christian world. The observance of Christmas was introduced once with the Christianization of Romania but public observance was discouraged during the Communist period (1948—1989). In the post-communist Romania, Christmas started being celebrated again more festively.

A native of the Bukovina region, he attended Czernowitz University, where he studied philosophy and classical languages, subsequently earning a doctorate. Ending up as a translator in Vienna, he fought for Austria during World War I. At the conclusion of hostilities, returned to the renamed Cernăuți, now part of Greater Romania. <span class="mw-page-title-main">Anastasie Fătu</span>

Anastasie Fătu was a Moldavian and Romanian physician, naturalist, philanthropist and political figure, a titular member of the Romanian Academy and founder of Iași's Botanical Garden. Of lowly origins, he benefited from the meritocratic program instituted by Moldavia's government in the 1830s, and went on to study law at the University of Vienna, with hopes of becoming a political economist. After graduating, he changed his professional path, and trained in medicine at the University of Paris. Recognized for pioneering contributions in cardiology, pediatrics, obstetrics and balneotherapy, he was also an early speaker for public health and social medicine, as well as an educational theorist and textbook author. Fătu's career as a professor of natural sciences took him to the Gregorian Institute, the Socola Monastery school, and ultimately Iași University, where he took steps to create a regional medical school.

Romania was scheduled to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, Netherlands before its cancellation due to the pandemic of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in China and its spread to other countries. Romania's artist, Roxen, was internally selected and announced on 11 February 2020. Their competing entry, "Alcohol You", was chosen during the national selection competition Selecția Națională 2020 on 1 March. Prior to the 2020 contest, Romania had participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 20 times since its first entry in 1994. Its highest placing had been third place, which the nation achieved in 2005 and 2010. In 2019, they failed to qualify for the contest's final for the second consecutive year. Prior to the scheduled Eurovision Song Contest 2020, "Alcohol You" was promoted by a lyric video, while Roxen appeared on several native talk shows and radio stations.
