Boris Psaker (born January 25, 1955) is a Croatian former footballer who played in the National Soccer League, North American Soccer League, and the American Soccer League.

Career

Psaker was a product of the Dinamo Zagreb academy system. In 1970, he played abroad in the National Soccer League with Toronto Croatia from 1970 till 1974. [1] In 1974, he featured in the NSL Championship final against Toronto Homer, and contributed the winning goal for Croatia. [2] In 1975, he made the transition to the North American Soccer League by signing with Toronto Metros-Croatia. [3] He returned to Toronto Croatia for the 1977 season, and assisted in securing their spot in the NSL First division. [4]

In 1979, he played in the Southwestern Ontario Soccer League with Windsor Croatia. [5] During the off season he played indoor soccer with the Detroit Express, where he appeared in four matches. [6] [7] In 1981, he played in the American Soccer League with New York Eagles. [8]

The Second Division title was won by St. Catharines Roma by finishing first in the standings.

In the NSL Cup final, Panhellenic defeated Toronto Italia, while Italia successfully defended the First Division title by finishing first in the standings. In the Second Division, Hamilton Italo-Canadians defeated Toronto Croatia for both the division title and NSL II Championship.

The 1975 Canadian Soccer League season was the fifty-second season for the National Soccer League (NSL) which operated under the Canadian Soccer League (CSL) name for the season. The season began in April and concluded in late October with Toronto Italia securing a double. Italia would also win the Canadian Open Cup by defeating the Challenge Trophy champions London Boxing and Athletic Club of Victoria from British Columbia. The Serbian White Eagles were the NSL Cup winners and the Canadian representative for the 1975 CONCACAF Champions' Cup.

Chile Lindo was a soccer club based in Toronto, Ontario. The was founded in 1975 and originally played in the Liga Hispanoamerica de Football Amateur (LHFA). After several successes' at the amateur level, the club was granted a franchise in the National Soccer League (NSL) in 1987. Lindo played in the NSL for two seasons from 1987 till 1988. The club's franchise was revoked in 1988 after a series of on-field incidents.
