Algeria is scheduled to compete at the 2022 Mediterranean Games in Oran, Algeria over 10 days from 25 June to 5 July 2022 with delegation of 522 persons, including 193 men and 136 women. On the first day Algeria won five medals including four golds all in Karate through Cylia Ouikene, Louiza Abouriche and Chaima Midi for women's and Oussama Zaid for men's. On the second day the Badminton duo Koceila Mammeri and Youcef Sabri Medel won a historic gold by defeating the Spanish duo Luis Enrique Penalver Pereira and Pablo Abian Vicen which is the fifth gold for Algeria. In Karate Algeria added a silver medal through Hocine Daikhi which is the sixth including four golds in the same discipline. In Wrestling men's Greco-Roman in three finals Algeria won one gold medal through Bachir Sid Azara, as for Ishak Ghaiou and Abdelkrim Ouakali get the silver medal. After two days without a gold medal, Algerian Judo won a gold medal by Messaoud Redouane Dris in 73 kg, defeating Moroccan Hassan Doukkali by Ippon. With the opening of Athletics Algeria won two golds, the first by Bilal Tabti in 3000 m steeplechase and Hichem Bouchicha won bronze medal while Yasser Triki achieved Triple jump gold medal. On the sixth day Algeria achieved its highest score with fifteen medals including ten in boxing, including five gold through Jugurtha Ait Bekka, Roumaysa Boualam, Hadjila Khelif, Imane Khelif and Yahia Abdelli and five silver by Ichrak Chaib, Oussama Mordjane, Younes Nemouchi, Mohammed Houmri and Moh Said Hamani. As for Athletics Bilel Afer added another gold medal in High jump and thirdly Hichem Bouhanoune, and Abdelmalik Lahoulou won bronze in 400 m hurdles. On the last day of Judo Algeria added two silver medals through Mustapha Yasser Bouamar and Mohamed Sofiane Belrekaa.
