Brad Galli (born 1989 in Detroit, Michigan) is a sports anchor and reporter for WXYZ-TV in Detroit.
Brad Galli is the sports director at WXYZ-TV in Detroit, Michigan. He regularly covers the Detroit Lions, Red Wings, Tigers, Pistons, as well as Michigan, Michigan State, and high school athletics. He is featured during the week on 7 News Detroit at 5, 6, and 11 p.m. Galli can also be seen on TV20 Detroit. [1]
Brad was named Sportscaster of the Year in Michigan by the National Sports Media Association for 2018 and 2021. [2] He earned an Emmy in 2016 [3] for Excellence in Sports Anchoring in Michigan by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He won his first Emmy in 2014 for Excellence in Sports Reporting, and won again in 2016 for Excellence in Sports Anchoring.
Galli conducted weekly interviews with Jim Harbaugh for all nine seasons of the head coach's time at Michigan. His coverage of Michigan's 2023 national championship warranted millions of views on social media, notably including an interview with Jack and Jackie Harbaugh, Jim's parents, at the Rose Bowl. During the 2017 and 2018 football seasons, he hosted Inside Michigan Football with Jim Harbaugh on IMG Radio, the school's official, weekly radio show.
He anchored WXYZ's 4 p.m. news program, called The Now Detroit, from 2014–15, before returning to the sports team to anchor and work as the sports director. [4]

Galli graduated from Brother Rice High School (Michigan) in 2007 where he played football and was a part of the 2005 MHSAA State Championship team. [6]
Galli graduated from Marquette University with a degree in communications and a minor in theology. He worked as the sports director at MUTV (Marquette University Television) for two years before graduating from the Milwaukee school in 2011.
He covered the Marquette basketball team and created the popular show, Marquette Basketball Weekly, [7] that drew over 30,000 views in two seasons. It is the most watched show in Marquette University Television history. [8] Galli introduced ESPN basketball analyst Chris Broussard at a College of Communication Axthelm lecture in April 2011, and led a panel of discussion after the lecture. [9]
In 2012, he returned to Marquette to serve as the emcee of the men's basketball banquet. [10]

Smith joined the network around September 2010 and served as the morning and noon meteorologist until March 2018. WXYZ-TV meteorologist Kevin Jeanes succeeded him with this role in the same time frame. Dery was the Sports Director at WDFN from 1996 to 2009, after working for WHK Radio in Cleveland, Ohio. Dery announced his resignation from WDFN in mid-March, and accepted an update anchor position at competitor WXYT-FM, where he resigned in July 2013, rounding out his 17 years of experience as a Detroit sportscaster. He now hosts the Locked on Lions podcasts since 2016.

Robbie Timmons is a retired American TV news anchor/reporter for Detroit television stations WJBK-TV and WXYZ-TV. She was the first female news anchor in American history to anchor the 6:00pm and 11:00pm broadcasts in March 1973 while anchoring the news at WILX-TV in Lansing, Michigan. After four years at WILX-TV in Lansing, she was offered a job working as a reporter and 11pm news anchor for WJBK-TV (CBS) in Detroit, where she worked for six years. In 1982 Timmons accepted a news anchor position for WXYZ-TV, the ABC affiliate in Detroit where she received numerous honors including Emmy Awards and the distinction of being named one of the most powerful women in Michigan. Robbie Timmons retired in October 2010 and is currently an officer of a non-profit Thoroughbred retraining organization, CANTER.
