David Hayman stars as the main protagonist of the series, DCS Michael "Mike" Walker. Throughout the series, he has two main sidekicks: DI Pat North in Series 1–6 and DCI Róisín Connor in Series 7–12.
Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) is a British television series, produced by Working Title Television for BBC One, written and produced by Charlie Higson. It is a revival of the 1960s television series Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) and stars Vic Reeves as Marty Hopkirk and Bob Mortimer as Jeff Randall, two partner private detectives, Emilia Fox as Jeannie Hurst, Hopkirk's fiancée, and Tom Baker as Wyvern, a spirit mentor. Two series were commissioned and were broadcast in 2000 and 2001 with the pilot episode airing 18 March 2000.

Shameless is a British comedy drama television series set in Manchester on the fictional Chatsworth council estate, created and partially written by Paul Abbott, who is also the programme's executive producer. Produced by Company Pictures for Channel 4, the programme ran for eleven series and aired from 13 January 2004 to 28 May 2013. The show, centred on British working-class culture, was accorded critical acclaim by the British media, including the newspaper The Sun and Newsnight Review on BBC Two. The network Showtime created an American version of the series, which debuted in 2011.
Sandra Isobel McDade, professionally known as Sandy McDade, is a Scottish actress, known for her part as Margaret Brown in the television series Lark Rise to Candleford, Miss Scatcherd in the 2011 film Jane Eyre, and Fay on stage at the Royal Court Theatre Downstairs in Iron, which won her the 2003 Evening Standard Theatre Award for Best Actress.
