The Brandenburg-Rundfahrt was a stage road cycling race that was held in Brandenburg, Germany. The race was on the UCI calendar in category 2.5 from 2001 to 2003. [1] It was not held from 2004 through 2006, but returned for 2007 and 2008 as a national level race. [2]

Sebastian Siedler is a former racing cyclist from Germany, who last rode for UCI Continental team Vorarlberg–Corratec. He had a successful track career prior to turning to road bicycle racing, winning Team Pursuit at the 2000 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Manchester. He turned professional in 2004 with Team Wiesenhof, and spent two seasons there before moving to Team Milram for two seasons. Siedler joined Vorarlberg–Corratec at the start of the 2009 season. He rode in the 2006 Vuelta a España, finishing 127th overall.

Team Vorarlberg is a cycling team based in Austria. The team was founded in 1999 by the twin brothers Thomas Kofler and Johannes Kofler and previously known as Team Volksbank. In 2009, the Austrian federal state of Vorarlberg replaced Volksbank as title sponsor. In 2006 it became the first ever Austrian professional cycling team and was registered as a UCI Professional Continental team until June 2010, when their UCI license was suspended due to financial insecurity. The team was later re-registered as a UCI Continental team, and retained that status in 2011.

The Tour of Austria is a stage cycling race held in Austria. From 1949 to 1995 it was a race for amateur cyclists, turning into a professional event in 1996. In 2005 and 2006 it was organised as a 2.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour, becoming a 2.HC event in 2007. The race will become part of the new UCI ProSeries in 2020. Since 2005 it has usually been held in July. Before that, it was seen as an ideal preparation race for the Tour de France.

No other city was as often the stage destination of the Rheinland-Pfalz Rundfahrt as Bad Marienberg.

Thüringen Rundfahrt der U23 was a bicycle road race held annually in the German state of Thuringia. It was a stage race reserved to athletes under the age of 23. Since 2005, it was organized as a 2.2U event on the UCI Europe Tour. After the 2013 edition, it was discontinued.

Marcel Kittel is a German former racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 2011 and 2019 for the Team Giant–Alpecin, Quick-Step Floors and Team Katusha–Alpecin squads. As a junior, he specialised in time trials, even winning a bronze medal in the World Championships for cyclists aged under 23. When he became a professional in 2011, he specialised in bunch sprints, winning 19 stages across the three Grand Tours, and taking 89 wins in his professional career.

The Oberösterreichrundfahrt is a cycling race held annually in the Austrian state Upper Austria. It was created in 2010 and is part of the UCI Europe Tour as a category 2.2 race.

The 2008 Bayern Rundfahrt was the 29th edition of the Bayern Rundfahrt cycle race and was held on 28 May to 1 June 2008. The race started in Freyung and finished in Erlangen. The race was won by Christian Knees.

The 2009 Bayern Rundfahrt was the 30th edition of the Bayern Rundfahrt cycle race and was held on 27 May to 31 May 2009. The race started in Kelheim and finished in Gunzenhausen. The race was won by Linus Gerdemann.

The 2010 Bayern Rundfahrt was the 31st edition of the Bayern Rundfahrt cycle race and was held on 26 May to 30 May 2010. The race started in Erding and finished in Fürstenfeldbruck. The race was won by Maxime Monfort.

The 2002 Bayern Rundfahrt was the 14th edition of the Bayern Rundfahrt cycle race and was held on 22–26 May 2002. The race started in Füssen and finished in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz. The race was won by Michael Rich.

The 2018 Thüringen Rundfahrt der Frauen was the 31st edition of the Thüringen Rundfahrt der Frauen, a women's cycling stage race in Germany. It was rated by the UCI as a category 2.1 race and was held between 28 May and 3 June 2018.

Agro–Adler Brandenburg was a German road cycling team that competed professionally between 1997 and 2001.
