The Bredene-Koksijde Classic, previously Handzame Classic, is a European single day cycle race held in the Belgian region of Flanders, starting in Bredene and finishing in Koksijde. Having been a part of the Driedaagse van West-Vlaanderen from 2002 to 2010, race organisers decided to run the race as a single-day race from 2011 and organized as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour, raised to 1.HC status from 2018. The finish race previously known as Handzame Classic, but was renamed following a decision from the organisers to move the finish from Handzame to Koksijde. The first edition under the new name will be held in 2019. [1]

Three Days of Bruges–De Panne recurring sporting event

The Three Days of De Panne or Three Days of Bruges–De Panne is a road cycling race in Belgium in late March. Since 2018 it is raced over two days with a men's race on Wednesday and a women's race on Thursday. Both races start in Bruges and finish in the seaside resort of De Panne.

Dwars door Vlaanderen(English: Across Flanders) is a semi-classic road bicycle race in Belgium, held annually since 1945. The race starts in Roeselare and finishes in Waregem, both in West Flanders. Since 2017 the event is included in the UCI World Tour.

Nokere Koerse is a European semi classic single day cycle race held in the Belgian region of Flanders. Since 2005, the race has been organized as a 1.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. Starting in 2016 it was a 1.HC event. The Nokere Koerse was created in 1944, initially as the Grand Prix Jules Lowie in honour of 1938 Paris–Nice winner Jules Lowie who was born in Nokere. Only seven cyclists not born in Belgium or the Netherlands have won this semi classic. There was no edition in 2013 due to bad winter weather.

Mark Ian Jamieson is an Australian professional racing cyclist. He started competing at the age of 10 in 1994, he first represented his country in the World Junior Track Championships in 2001. He was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder.

The 2012 Three Days of De Panne is the 36th edition of the Three Days of De Panne, an annual bicycle race. Taking part in and around the De Panne region of West Flanders, it began in Middelkerke on 27 March and will finish in De Panne two days later. The 544.5 km long stage race contains four stages, with two held on the final day. It is part of the 2012 UCI Europe Tour and is rated as a 2.HC event.

Luka Mezgec Road bicycle racer

Luka Mezgec is a Slovenian road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Mitchelton–Scott. After scoring numerous podium finishes in 2013, Mezgec finally tasted victory on the fifth stage of the Tour of Beijing. He was named in the start list for the 2015 Vuelta a España.

The London–Surrey Classic is an annual 193 km (119.9 mi) men's professional one-day road bicycle racing starting and finishing in London and routed via the picturesque Surrey Hills. The first race of its kind was the London–Surrey Cycle Classic, on 14 August 2011, a 1.2 classification 140 km preparatory event for the 2012 Summer Olympics, which was won by sprinter Mark Cavendish. The men's and women's Olympic road races were held on a longer variation of the same course the following year. On 4 August 2013, the race found a permanent home as part of the Prudential RideLondon weekend, a two-day cycling festival held in London, a legacy event of the Olympics.

Mathieu van der Poel Dutch cyclist, cyclo-cross and road racing

Mathieu van der Poel is a Dutch cyclist, who currently competes in the cyclo-cross, mountain bike racing and road bicycle racing disciplines of the sport, for UCI Professional Continental team Corendon–Circus. He is best known for winning the Cyclo-cross World Championships in Tábor in 2015 and in Bogense in 2019, the Junior Road Race World Championships in Florence, Italy in 2013, and twice winning the Junior Cyclo-cross World Championships, in Koksijde, Belgium in 2012, and Louisville, USA in 2013; the first rider to win multiple titles at that level. As well as this, Van der Poel was the winner of the 2018 Dutch National Road Race Championships in Hoogerheide.

The 2014 Three Days of De Panne was the 38th edition of the Three Days of De Panne, an annual bicycle stage race. The race was held in and around the De Panne region of West Flanders. It began in De Panne on 1 April and finished in De Panne on 3 April. As the previous editions, the race consisted of four stages, with two held on the final day. It was part of the 2014 UCI Europe Tour and was rated as a 2.HC event.

The 2018 Handzame Classic was the 8th edition of the Handzame Classic road cycling one day race. It was held on 16 March 2018 as part of the UCI Europe Tour in category 1.HC.

The 2017 Handzame Classic was the 7th edition of the Handzame Classic road cycling one day race. It was held on 17 March 2017 as part of the 2017 UCI Europe Tour in category 1.1.

The 2005 Three Days of De Panne was the 29th edition of the Three Days of De Panne cycle race and was held on 29 March to 31 March 2005. The race started in Middelkerke and finished in De Panne. The race was won by Stijn Devolder.

2019 Three Days of Bruges–De Panne (womens race)

The second running of the women's event of the Three Days of Bruges–De Panne, also called Lotto Women Classic Bruges–De Panne, will be held on 28 March 2019. The race starts in Bruges and finishes in De Panne with two 15 km (9.3 mi) loops between De Panne and Koksijde, totaling 134.4 km (83.5 mi). It is the fourth leg of the 2019 UCI Women's World Tour. Defending champion Jolien D'Hoore will not compete after breaking her collar bone in the Drentse 8.
