Brendan Mahoney

Brendan Mahoney is the Assistant General Manager and Director of Player Personnel of the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). [1]

Career

Mahoney, who grew up in Cochrane, Alberta, was a four-year starter and an all-Canadian at wide receiver at Simon Fraser University. In 2003, he set a Canada West playoff record when he caught 11 passes for 294 yards and five touchdowns against Regina. [2]

He was selected in the 6th Round (48th Overall) in the 2004 CFL Draft by the Toronto Argonauts. [3] Mahoney was signed by the Argonauts on May 14, 2004, but was released June 10. [4]

After spending some time on the Calgary Stampeders practice roster, Mahoney began his scouting career in 2007 as an intern in the team's personnel department. [2] Other roles he has held with Calgary include director of Canadian scouting, scout and assistant director of football operations. [2] In 2019, he became director of player personnel, and on December 12, 2022, added the title of assistant general manager. [1]

During his time with the team, the Stampeders have won 3 Grey Cup championships: 2008, 2014, and 2018.

He was a general manager for eight seasons with the Birmingham Barracudas and Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He is a four-time Grey Cup champion as a director of player personnel and assistant general manager with the BC Lions and Calgary Stampeders (CFL) and he is a member of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame. He played for seven years in the National Football League (NFL) with the St. Louis Cardinals.

James Thomas Popp is an American sports executive and coach currently working for the United States Football League (USFL) as the Director of Player Administration. He was previously a running back coach and assistant head coach for the Alabama State Hornets. He worked extensively in the Canadian Football League, and was most recently the general manager of the Toronto Argonauts. Popp spent over two decades as General Manager of the Montreal Alouettes including several stints as Head Coach. Popp has also had roles with the Baltimore Stallions, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. As a CFL general manager, three separate franchises under Popp have won five Grey Cup championship wins out of 11 appearances.

Daniel Hubert Federkeil is a former professional Canadian football player, having played offensive tackle for the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played CIS football with the Calgary Dinos, and was drafted fifth overall by the Toronto Argonauts in the 2006 CFL Draft, but signed with the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League shortly thereafter. He would later assist the Colts in winning Super Bowl XLI over the Chicago Bears.

James Barker is a football executive and coach. He is currently employed by TSN as a CFL panelist. His most recent employment in Canadian football was a senior advisor for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Barker has been the general manager of the Calgary Stampeders from 2005–07, and the Argonauts from 2011-2016. He was also the head coach of the Argonauts in 1999, with the Stampeders in 2003, and then again with the Argos in 2010-11. He has also been a sports analyst for the CFL on TSN. Barker has also served as a football operations consultant and assistant coach for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. He is a four-time Grey Cup champion having won twice as an assistant coach and twice as a football administrator.

Michael P. McCarthy is a professional football executive and scout. He was born in Oneida, New York and raised in Rome, New York. McCarthy began playing football at Rome (NY) Free Academy H.S. where he earned All-State football honours and was an all-star in lacrosse and wrestling. Currently, he is a pro football player personnel consultant.
