Brendhan Lovegrove is a New Zealand based comedian and public speaker. He is known for his performances at Auckland's Classic Comedy Bar, on the New Zealand comedy circuit, as well as his roles on TV2's Pulp Comedy and TVNZ's A Night at the Classic.
After winning the Billy T Award in 1998, Lovegrove travelled and performed at international comedy festivals throughout the world including Scotland, Canada and England. [1] Lovegrove joined the UK pro comedy circuit in 2000, and in his first year played 300 comedy club shows. [2] By his second year, he began performing at clubs like Jongleurs, The Comedy Store, The Glee Club and Up the Creek. [1]
Between 2006 and 2007 he worked alongside Kevin Black on the Solid Gold FM breakfast show. In 2010 he starred in TVNZ's A Night at the Classic, which returned for a second season in 2012.
Lovegrove received critical acclaim for his 2006 show 'The Brendhan Lovegrove Project,' which was performed during the 2006 New Zealand International Comedy Festival. This was followed with 'The Emperor's New Show' during the 2007 New Zealand International Comedy Festival. He has been a guest performer at The Sydney Cracker Comedy Festival in 2006, London’s Comedy Store, and has featured in two episodes of UK TV’s 'Live at Jongleurs'. Lovegrove hosted the final series of TV2's 'Pulp Comedy' and has also performed on Australia’s Rove Live. [1] [3]
In 1998, Lovegrove received New Zealand's Billy T Award.
In 2006, he received the inaugural Fred Award for outstanding achievement in New Zealand comedy - the Best Show award, was named the best male comedian by the New Zealand Comedy Guild and was also honoured with the unofficial 'Most Offensive Gag Award'.
He has received the best male comedian award from the New Zealand Comedy Guild [4] in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014 and 2015 – a total of nine times.
Lovegrove received the Rielly Comedy Award from the Variety Artists Club of New Zealand in 2012. [5]
In 2013, Lovegrove won best international act at the Jakarta International Comedy Festival.

Leanne Pooley ONZM is a Canadian filmmaker based in Auckland, New Zealand. Pooley was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, she immigrated to New Zealand in the mid-1980s and began working in the New Zealand television and film industry before moving to England where she worked for many of the world's top broadcasters. She returned to New Zealand in 1997 and started the production company Spacific Films. Her career spans more than 25 years and she has won numerous international awards. Leanne Pooley was made a New Zealand Arts Laureate in 2011 and an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the New Year's Honours List 2017. She is a member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Dafydd Morgan "Dai" Henwood; born 7 February 1978) is a New Zealand stand-up comedian and television host. Henwood started performing comedy when he was studying Theatre and Film at Victoria University of Wellington. His career in television began in 1999 when he appeared on the TV2 comedy show Pulp Comedy. Henwood then went on to began touring internationally as a stand-up comedian in 2004 to then hosting the television show Insert Video Here on C4.
The New Zealand International Comedy Festival is a comedy festival in both Auckland and Wellington, New Zealand, run by the New Zealand Comedy Trust and held across three weeks during April and May. From its beginnings in 1993 as a 2-day event, the festival has developed into a major nationwide event with a total attendance of over 100,000 people each year.
Ben Hurley is a stand up comedian from New Zealand. Hurley started his comedy career in Wellington as resident host of The Wellington Comedy Club. After winning the Billy T Award he moved to London and worked on the comedy circuit there between 2005 and 2008. He has supported the likes of Andy Parsons, Stewart Lee and Ed Byrne on their UK Tours. He is a popular act in his home country of New Zealand where he has performed as part of the New Zealand International Comedy Festival 10 years in a row.
Carey Marx is a British stand-up comedian. He has been performing regularly all over the UK comedy circuit for several years, including Komedia, The Comedy Store and Jongleurs. He has had numerous television appearances including Comedy Cuts, BBC Breakfast and Loose Women and has gained international recognition through winning Best International Show at the New Zealand Comedy Festival (2009). He has also had several solo shows to appear at other comedy festivals including Leicester Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

A'Court has appeared in many TV shows since the late 1980s including What Now, 7Days and The Project. She is a regular columnist with The Spinoff and the author of two books. She was appointed an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit, for services to the entertainment and comedy industries, in the 2023 New Year Honours.
