Brian Dale Beattie is a pastor and the CEO of The City Group. He is the co-owner of Kingdomize Global [1] and the founder of Freedom House. [2] Brian started pastoring when he was around 20 years old.
Brian leased a bar located in downtown Brantford for 1 year and hosted church services in it. Brian later got a grant of $750,000 and made the building into affordable housing, which is now named Freedom Gate Apartments.
Brian hosted barbecues in downtown Brantford which he called "Flippin Fridays". The barbecues took place between 10:00 pm to 3:00 am. Brian, his friends and the city of Brantford started hosting a winter carnival called Frosty Fest in Harmony Square. On the first year of Frosty Fest, 8,000 people showed up. By year 5, 15,000 people were going to Frosty Fest. [3] [4] Brian has also worked as the chair of Brantford’s Canada Day committee. [5]
In 1996 or 1997, Brian went on a missions trip to Slovakia to do leadership training.
Brian and his wife Sharlyss founded Freedom House in 2003. Freedom House is a non-denominational church located in Brantford. [6]
