Brian Borland is a former American football coach.
In 1985, Borland got his first coaching job with Wisconsin as a graduate assistant. Then in 1986, Borland would get an assistant coaching job with Arizona Western, before in 1988, Borland would take another graduate assistant job this time with the Florida Gators. Then one year later in 1989, Borland got his first defensive coordinator job with Minnesota-Morris. [1] In 1991, Borland was hired by Baker as the team's defensive coordinator. [2] In his times at Baker he additionally served as the school's head softball coach. Also when he left to join Wisconsin-Whitewater, Borland served as the Track & Field coach from 1994 to 2002. [3] In 1994, Borland joined Wisconsin-Whitewater as the team's defensive back coach. In 2002, Borland was promoted to be the team's defensive coordinator. During his time at Wisconsin-Whitewater, Borland was named the Wisconsin Collegiate Assistant Coach of the Year twice in 2004 and 2006 and was named the NCAA Division III Coordinator of the Year in 2013. [4] [5] In 2015, Borland was hired by the Buffalo Bulls to serve as the team's defensive coordinator. [6] In 2021, Borland joined the Kansas Jayhawks as the team's defensive coordinator. [7]
Leslie Antonio Frazier is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the assistant head coach of the Seattle Seahawks. He played professional football as a cornerback for the Chicago Bears in the National Football League (NFL), winning a Super Bowl in the 1985 season.
Mark Thomas Mangino is a former American college football coach. He served as the head football coach at the University of Kansas from 2002 to 2009. In 2007, Mangino received several national coach of the year honors after leading the Jayhawks to their only 12-win season in school history and an Orange Bowl victory. However, he resigned as coach at Kansas two seasons later following allegations of mistreatment of players. While at Kansas, Mangino coached in four bowl games with a 3–1 record, the lone loss coming in the 2003 Tangerine Bowl. Additionally, in five of his eight seasons at Kansas, the Jayhawks were Bowl eligible; they had been bowl eligible only five times in the previous thirty seasons. He held multiple assistant coaching jobs before becoming the head coach at Kansas, the longest being an eight season stint at Kansas State as their running game coordinator.
Turner Hillery Gill is an American college athletic administrator and former football player and coach. He is the Executive Director of Student-Athlete and Staff Development at the University of Arkansas, a position he assumed in 2019. Gill has served as head football coach at the University at Buffalo (2006–09), the University of Kansas (2010–11) and Liberty University (2012–18), compiling a career college football coaching record of 72–84. He was one of 11 black head coaches in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision at the time of his hiring at Kansas.
Brian Cornelius Schottenheimer is an American football coach who is the offensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets, St. Louis Rams and the University of Georgia and also served as an assistant coach for the Washington Redskins, San Diego Chargers, Indianapolis Colts, and Jacksonville Jaguars.
Bob Valesente is a former American football player and coach. He played college football at Ithaca College and spent more than 35 years as a football coach. He was the head coach of the Kansas Jayhawks football team from 1986 to 1987 and has also served as an assistant football coach in the National Football League (NFL) with multiple teams.
The Kansas Jayhawks football program is the intercollegiate football program of the University of Kansas. The team competes at the NCAA Division I level in the Football Bowl Subdivision and is a member of the Mid-American Conference. Buffalo's first football team was fielded in 1894. The team plays its home games at the 31,000 seat UB Stadium on University at Buffalo's north campus in Amherst, New York. The Bulls are coached by Pete Lembo.

Robert S. Ianello is an American college football coach. He is the general manager with the Kansas Jayhawks, a position he had held since the 2021 season. Ianello served as the head football coach at the University of Akron from 2010 to 2011, compiling a record of 2–22. He was fired after the 2011 season. He succeeded J. D. Brookhart, who was relieved of his duties after the 2009 season in which the Akron Zips went 3–9. Before he was hired at Akron, Ianello had been an assistant football coach since 1988, including stints at the University of Alabama, the University of Wisconsin, the University of Arizona, and the University of Notre Dame.
Lance Leipold is an American college football coach who is the head football coach at the University of Kansas, a position he has held since 2021. He was the head football coach at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater from 2007 to 2014 and the University at Buffalo from 2015 to 2020. During his tenure at Wisconsin–Whitewater, the team won six NCAA Division III Football Championships: 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2014 and were runners-up in 2008. During his time at Wisconsin-Whitewater, Leipold led the Warhawks to 5 undefeated seasons.
David William Doeren is an American football coach who is currently the head football coach at North Carolina State University, a position he has held since the 2013 season. Doeren previously served as the head football coach at Northern Illinois University from 2011 to 2012 and has been an assistant at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, University of Kansas, University of Montana, and University of Southern California. He played college football at Drake University, where he also held his first assistant coaching position.
Scott Gregory Hazelton is an American football coach who is currently a special assistant to the head coach at the University of Texas at Austin. He was previously the defensive coordinator at Michigan State University. Hazelton was the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at Kansas State University in 2019 before moving to Michigan State. He was also the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach at the University of Wyoming in 2017 and 2018 where he led nationally ranked defenses in both seasons, linebackers coach at USC in 2012 and the defensive coordinator of the 2011 FCS National Champions, North Dakota State Bison. Hazelton was tutored as a defensive coach under the guidance of then North Dakota State head coach and current Buffalo Bills assistant Bob Babich and Gus Bradley who is a former head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, former Bison assistant coach, and is currently the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers.
David Christopher Aranda is an American football coach. He is the head football coach at Baylor University, a position he has held since 2020. He previously served as the defensive coordinator at LSU, Wisconsin, Utah State, Hawaii, Delta State, and Cal Lutheran.

Kevin Kane is an American college football coach and former linebacker. He is the defensive coordinator for Purdue University, a position he has held since 2023. He played college football at Kansas from 2002 to 2005. He served as the defensive coordinator of the Northern Illinois Huskies (2016–2017) and SMU Mustangs (2018–2020).
Maurice Linguist is an American football coach. He is the co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach for the University of Alabama, positions he has held since 2024. He was the head coach for the University at Buffalo from 2021 until his departure in 2024 to join the Alabama coaching staff.
Chase Robert Buford is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is an analyst for the Kansas Jayhawks. He played college basketball at Kansas where he was a part of their 2008 NCAA Tournament-winning team. Buford was head coach of the Wisconsin Herd of the NBA G League between 2019 and 2021. Between 2021 and 2023, he coached the Sydney Kings of the Australian National Basketball League (NBL) and won back-to-back championships.
Andy Kotelnicki is an American football coach who is the offensive coordinator at Pennsylvania State University. He previously served as the offensive coordinator at the University of Kansas from 2021 to 2023. Kotelnicki played college football at the University of Wisconsin–River Falls as a center before entering coaching.
James Zebrowski is an American college football coach. He is the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the University of Kansas; a position he has held since 2025. He was the head football coach for Lakeland College—now knows as Lakeland University—from 2003 to 2006. He also coached for Preble Shawnee High School, Berea High School, Southern Illinois, Millikin, Wisconsin–Whitewater, Northern Illinois, Minnesota, Hamline, and Buffalo. He played college football for Mount Union as a quarterback.
D. K. McDonald is an American college football coach. He is the defensive coordinator and cornerbacks coach for the University of Kansas, a position he has held since 2024.
