Cowboy Mouth is an American band based in New Orleans, Louisiana known for fusing alternative rock with album-oriented rock, roots rock, and jam band influences. Memento Mori is the second studio album by American rock band Flyleaf, released through A&M/Octone Records on November 10, 2009. The title is a Latin phrase meaning "be mindful of death" or "remember you will die". Memento Mori debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200, selling 56,000 units in its opening week. It also became the first album by a female-led act to top the Billboard Hard Rock Albums chart. The album sold more than 311,600 copies in the U.S. in a little over one year.
My Passion were an English band formed in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England in 2005. They released their debut album, Corporate Flesh Party, in May 2009 on Cool Green Recordings. Produced by John Mitchell at Outhouse Studios in Reading, the album features eleven tracks, six of which are re-released versions of older demos either presented only on the band's Myspace, or released on their Style Suicide record label. In April 2010, My Passion re-joined John Mitchell at Outhouse to record their second album, titled Inside This Machine. It was initially slated in autumn 2010, however it was finally released on 25 April 2011 through Spinefarm Records, which the band signed to in early 2011. They also have a fan base which was created in 2010 called the 'My Passion Army' which was created by fans.
"Again" is the first single by Flyleaf from their second album, Memento Mori. It was announced on July 29, 2009, that "Again" would be hitting radio August 25, 2009. The song was added to the play lists on Flyleaf's official site and the band's official Myspace page on August 19, 2009. The song was officially available for digital download on August 25, 2009. It is also featured in iPhone application Tap Tap Revenge 2, is downloadable content for Rock Band 2 and is a playable track in Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and Power Gig: Rise of the SixString.
Derek Vincent Smith, known by his stage name Pretty Lights, is an American electronic music producer. Pretty Lights was originally a music project consisting of Smith and Michal Menert, who left after the release of their first album. Rick Rubin once described Pretty Lights as "the face and voice of the new American electronic music scene".
Tigermilk is the solo project of Chilean singer-songwriter Paulina "Kuky" Tala. It was started in 2005, and in 2006 Tigermilk's debut EP The Departure"was released, followed by the 2007 album Social Songs from the Woods. As an independent project based in Santiago, Tigermilk has released several other songs as downloadable content on Myspace and Bandcamp. Tala cites Suzanne Vega, Kings of Convenience, Múm, The Cardigans, Cocteau Twins, The Cranberries, Zero 7, and Lemon Jelly as her influences.
