Brian M. Lucey

Brian M. Lucey is a professor at the Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin. [1] He was the editor-in-chief of the International Review of Economics & Finance from May 2019 [2] to October 2025. [3] At the end of 2025, three of his papers published in this journal were retracted as he handled the papers as an editor while also being an author. [4] [5] [6]

Aside from the two retracted papers from the International Review of Economics & Finance journal, several other of Lucey's papers were retracted because he edited the papers himself while also being an author. [7] [8] [9]

Lucey has published over 400 peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, commentaries, etc. which have been cited more than 25,000 times, giving him an h-index of 75. [10]
