Bristol Photo Festival is a photography festival in Bristol, England that began in 2021. [1]

2021 festival

The inaugural festival is taking place from May to December 2021, with a theme of "A Sense of Place". [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] Exhibitions are being held at the Royal Photographic Society, Arnolfini, Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery, and the Martin Parr Foundation, as well as outside throughout the city. [1] The festival's director is Tracy Marshall-Grant. [1]

LagosPhoto Festival is the largest international photography festival in Nigeria and attracts over 20.000 visitors annually. Founded in 2010 by Azu Nwagbogu of the African Artists Foundation, the festival spotlights emerging and established photographers from Africa and internationally. With a strong focus on presenting historical and contemporary stories from the African continent, the month-long festival takes place at various indoor and outdoor venues and includes exhibitions, events, workshops, residencies, talks and digital programs. Brighton Photo Biennial (BPB), now known as Photoworks Festival, is a month-long festival of photography in Brighton, England, produced by Photoworks. The festival began in 2003 and is often held in October. It plays host to curated exhibitions across the city of Brighton and Hove in gallery and public spaces. Previous editions have been curated by Jeremy Millar (2003), Gilane Tawadros (2006), Julian Stallabrass (2008), Martin Parr (2010) and Photoworks (2012). Brighton Photo Biennial announced its merger with Photoworks in 2006 and in 2020 its name was changed to Photoworks Festival.

Pier 24 Photography is a non-profit art museum located on the Port of San Francisco directly under the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge. Stephen McLaren is a Scottish photographer, writer, and curator, based in Los Angeles. He has edited various photography books published by Thames & Hudson—including Street Photography Now (2010)—and produced his own, The Crash (2018). He is a co-founder member of Document Scotland. McLaren's work has been shown at FACT in Liverpool as part of the Look – Liverpool International Photography Festival and in Document Scotland group exhibitions at Impressions Gallery, Bradford and at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, Edinburgh. Paul Hart is a British landscape photographer. His work “explores our relationship with the landscape, in both a humanistic and socio-historical sense”. His books include Truncated (2009), Farmed (2016), Drained (2018) and Reclaimed (2020), all published by Dewi Lewis. In 2018 he was awarded the inaugural Wolf Suschitzky Photography Prize (UK) by the Austrian Cultural Forum, London.

Poulomi Basu is an Indian artist, documentary photographer and activist, much of whose work addresses the normalisation of violence against marginalised women.

Aaron Schuman is an American photographer, writer, curator and educator based in the United Kingdom. His books of photography include Folk (2016), Slant (2019) and Sonata (2022).
