BritWeek is a 501(c)(3) organization based in Los Angeles, California. It was founded by So You Think You Can Dance and American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe, [1] the former British Consul-General in Los Angeles Bob Peirce, Simon Wright and Paul J Wright Esq who serves as its General Counsel. [2] Peirce is the Chairman of BritWeek Inc and Lythgoe is the President. Other board members are Fiona François, Mike Krycler, Sharon Harroun Peirce, Barry Waldo, and Neil Stiles. The Executive Director is Lauren Stone.
BritWeek is primarily known for its annual program of events held in Los Angeles and Orange County each year. The first BritWeek was in 2007. The events are held annually every Spring from late April to early May. The BritWeek program offers a series of events representing British connections with California in British film, British music, British comedy, fashion, British cuisine, luxury goods, sports, and science.
In 2013 BritWeek introduced a Robertson Shopping Stroll, along Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles. Shops offer discounts and promotions. In 2014 actress Mischa Barton was ambassador for the event. [3]

Mischa Anne Marsden Barton is a British-American film, television, and stage actress. The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA) is a contemporary art museum with two locations in greater Los Angeles, California. The main branch is located on Grand Avenue in Downtown Los Angeles, near the Walt Disney Concert Hall. MOCA's original space, initially intended as a "temporary" exhibit space while the main facility was built, is now known as the Geffen Contemporary, in the Little Tokyo district of downtown Los Angeles. Between 2000 and 2019, it operated a satellite facility at the Pacific Design Center facility in West Hollywood.
KCRW is a National Public Radio member station broadcasting from the campus of Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, California, where the station is licensed. KCRW airs original news and music programming in addition to programming from NPR and other affiliates. A network of repeaters and broadcast translators, as well as internet radio, allows the station to serve the Greater Los Angeles area and other communities in Southern California. The station's main transmitter is located in Los Angeles's Laurel Canyon district and broadcasts in the HD radio format. Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) is a private architecture school in Los Angeles, California. Founded in 1972, SCI-Arc was initially regarded as both institutionally and artistically avant-garde and more adventurous than traditional architecture schools based in the United States. Nigel Lythgoe OBE is an English television and film director and producer, television dance competition judge, former dancer in the Young Generation and choreographer. He was the producer of the shows Pop Idol and American Idol and is the creator and executive producer of So You Think You Can Dance, on which he served as a permanent judge for the first sixteen seasons. He also created the 2009 competition Superstars of Dance.

Caroline D'Amore is an American businesswoman, DJ, actress, and fashion model. She is the founder and CEO of Pizza Girl, Inc. She and her family own D’Amores Pizza, founded by her father. She began her career as a fashion model, working for Diane von Fürstenberg, Heatherette, Agent Provocateur and Stella McCartney. Leon Norman Hefflin, Sr. was an American producer, director, business owner, furniture manufacturer, and entrepreneur. Hefflin produced the first and largest outdoor jazz entertainment event of its kind, the "Cavalcade of Jazz," held at Wrigley Field in Los Angeles, part of the Central Ave jazz scene. It showcased over 125 artists over 15 years.
