The British-German Association (BGA) is a nonprofit, membership organisation based in London, UK. Its mission is to promote understanding and forge links between Britain and Germany. [2] [3] [4] [5]
Founded in 1951, the BGA is currently chaired by Peter Barnes and The Duke of Kent serves as its Royal Patron. [6] [7] The BGA works closely with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and with the German Embassy in London.
The BGA hosts an annual calendar of educational, corporate, cultural and social events for its members. The BGA seeks to support and co-ordinate the work of other national, regional or sectoral voluntary organisations involved with the UK and Germany. The BGA works closely with the Deutsch-Britische Gesellschaft, [8] its equivalent organisation in Germany.
Membership of the BGA is open to any UK resident who supports the BGA's charitable objectives. The BGA is supported by corporate members, mainly major companies with business interests in the UK and Germany. [9] Major corporate members include: [10]
Transparency International e.V. (TI) is a German registered association founded in 1993 by former employees of the World Bank. Based in Berlin, its nonprofit and non-governmental purpose is to take action to combat global corruption with civil societal anti-corruption measures and to prevent criminal activities arising from corruption. Its most notable publications include the Global Corruption Barometer and the Corruption Perceptions Index. Transparency International serves as an umbrella organization. From 1993 to today, its membership has grown from a few individuals to more than 100 national chapters, which engage in fighting perceived corruption in their home countries. TI is a member of G20 Think Tanks, UNESCO Consultative Status, United Nations Global Compact, Sustainable Development Solutions Network and shares the goals of peace, justice, strong institutions and partnerships of the United Nations Sustainable Development Group (UNSDG). TI is a social partner of Global Alliance in Management Education. TI confirmed the dis-accreditation of the national chapter of United States of America in 2017.

Founded in 1957, BCS has played an important role in educating and nurturing IT professionals, computer scientists, software engineers, computer engineers, upholding the profession, accrediting chartered IT professional status, and creating a global community active in promoting and furthering the field and practice of computing.
Kent County Council is a county council that governs the non-metropolitan county of Kent in England. The non-metropolitan county is smaller than the ceremonial county, which additionally includes the unitary authority of Medway. Kent County Council is the upper tier of elected local government, below which are 12 district councils, and around 300 town and parish councils. The county council has 81 elected councillors. It is one of the largest local authorities in England in terms of population served and the largest local authority of its type.

Ambition is a registered charity whose members are youth organisations in cities, counties and countries throughout the UK. Through its network, Ambition works with more than 3,500 organisations, supporting over 350,000 young people. In 2017, it merged with the charity UK Youth. Ambition works directly with its member organisations to help facilitate the delivery of quality of youth services, and also influences national and local government to support youth clubs. The Association of British Orchestras (ABO) is an organisation that supports, promotes, and advances the interests of orchestras in the United Kingdom. It was founded in 1948 as the Orchestral Employers' Association, primarily to negotiate with the Musicians' Union and other bodies on behalf of its membership, which consisted almost entirely at the time of orchestras receiving annual funding from the newly established Arts Council of Great Britain. The past decade has seen a substantial size increase for the organisation (from 35 members in 1989 to over 180 today) and its role has expanded to include a diverse range of activities designed to support the development of the UK's orchestral sector.

The Ethical Tea Partnership is a Private Limited Company that has been working with tea producers and tea companies to improve the sustainability of the tea industry since 1997. This industry-wide initiative, which was originally called the Tea Sourcing Partnership, was established by a number of large UK tea packing companies who took the decision to work together to improve the social conditions in their supply chains. Later on, ETP membership opened up to non UK-based tea packers, and extended the scheme to include environmental issues as well.
The Contemporary Art Society (CAS) is an independent charity that champions the collecting of outstanding contemporary art and craft for UK museum collections. Since its founding in 1910 the organisation has donated over 10,000 works to museums across the UK. From the 1930s the Society also donated works to Commonwealth museums, but since 1989 the focus has remained exclusively on UK institutions.
The Association of British HealthTech Industries, formerly the Association of British Healthcare Industries is a trade association for the medical technology sector in the UK. It has about 250 member companies which together provide 80% of the medical technology used in the NHS. It has offices in London. Members include the UK operations of multinational companies.
